I left my stitching in work yesterday :( so couldn't do any last night but it didn't matter too much as I watched the new Poirot (missed the middle as fell asleep!) then watched Wentworth (last one last night - Louise what did you think of the last episode/the series in general?)

I'm currently reading I am Pilgrim on my kindle so I read that on the way into work this morning instead of stitching. I have put my stitching in my bag so won't be forgetting it tonight. :)

I won the new Cross Stitch Crazy on Ebay and it arrived yesterday. Have to say I was disapointed that I had cancelled my subscription when I saw the next issue pages advertised last month but actually, having received the mag, on the surface it looks fab but actually its only the Margaret Sherry designs and the cute hedgehogs that win the day (and even then I would want to stitch the hedgehogs and not the background) which I don't think would work.

Hope to do some stitching tonight but will be catching up with The Tunnel which we recorded and as some of this is subtitlted, I can't really stitch and watch it.

    Have a good afternoon/evening all :)

Without giving away too much in case anyone is still to watch it- I thought it was really good. There wasn't a cliffhanger, which makes a change, I hate waiting to find out a whodunnit, but we still know there will be more interesting stuff to come. I have enjoyed the whole series, although this one was spent getting to know everyone and their back stories, so the next series should be a bit different. :T

I've still got the whole series to watch on my planner, so thanks for not giving away spoilers! Sooo much to watch-some things going back to the start of the year (whole series of Bones on there!) but never enough hours in the day. I have given up on X factor, though. Takes up so many hours of the weekend and to be honest, I'm not too bothered anymore. Still gonna watch I'm a Celeb in a few weeks, mind!

  • Hi,everyone,
Not happy with the small stitching on my Arabian lady,so have decided to put it to one side till I have more time in the daylight, not very impressed with quality of evenweave or the cotton in kit,am glad I did not buy the £46.00 one.
Can't decide what to do now,3 bookmarks for Christmas(minions from despicable me) or an alphabet sampler with dinosaurs for two little boys in Australia DILs nephews.christmas tree,or a peacock for my bedroom!
    Too many choices x

    Hi everyone,

So much to catch up on as I've been working boooo!!

Shelly - I love the rose garden and agree with others that the colours look better in real life. Just noticed the peacock! I love anything floral.

Mrs Ceejay - love the dinosaurs and the snow leopard is fabulous. Have never attempted petit points (thanks all for clarifying what that is!) and don't blame you for getting frustrated with it. As to what you will stitch next - are you under postage deadlines for Australia? Might be best to do those first ;)

mrs-moneypenny - the tinman is fantastic. Would never be able to do that in a million years. Love the idea of a started pack to kick start a new interest in stitching.

nmm - BD coming on great, so detailed.

Ailsb - glad you enjoyed Paris.

Louise - hope you are feeling better now. I suffer with migraines so feel your pain - literally.

mos - your Dad's stocking looks fab. He will be so pleased I'm sure. Congratulations to your DH on the job (and to you for gaining more stitchy time ;))

Hippipal - congratulations on your grandchild :happyhear

As for me, I collected Santa Clothes from the framers today and left Flower Shop there. Should be ready in about two weeks. Santa Clothes has buttons attached which are slightly on a wonk - not too bothered though as it is a seasonal piece (OCD moi???)

  • Hi,
Shelly-the rose garden is lovely,so elegant.

    Coxy11-
There is no time deadline for the Australia sampler, just want to do it,but the bookmarks are for crimbo.
Love santas clothes, only you will know about the buttons.
One of the first thing I did was a teddy bear wrapped in a quilt with its paws showing, only you and me know that the little bear has six claws on one paw,no one has ever noticed.i only saw it when I was pressing it ready for framing.
Mrs moneypenny-the tin an is so clever never seen kits like it.
    Happy stitching everyone x

Louise, I enjoyed Wentworth but not enough to buy on dvd and watch again. I have enjoyed the way the show has been presented with some episodes concentrating on individual characters. I don't think 10 episodes was enough though. The last episode was good but I just feel :/ that there will be no wentworth to look forward to next week.

I haven't done any stitching yet. Don't really feel like it this evening.
