This isn't as practical as the storage cabinet Louise spotted but I absolutely love it

    Hand Painted Workbox

f_o_s, I can't get the link to work?

Rubbish stitching day today, our caravan was broken into a couple of weeks ago and one of the windows was ripped off so we resited it on a much more secure site but we only elephant taped the window on as we are having to go through insurance for the replacement, well with all the rain we have had, the tape came undone and the window fell out allowing the inside to get completely soaked!

I had to drive 45 mins each way and talk a lovely man into helping a rather useless woman :o

Back stitching now but was hoping to get sooooo much more done today, might have to stay up really late tonight to get as much done as I can.
  • Fos ...yes I was thinking of buying some however ive never heard of anyone that has finished one and theres not a wide range.

Bad news about the caravan - wind and rain is a lethal combination

Have reposted link so should work now

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Hi all

stayed up til midnight watching taped down episodes of Atlantis and now feel shattered, so no sewing for me tonight as I would make loads of mistakes. I have however looked out the threads, material and my bits and bobs for doing the boys stockings as I need to get them completed. Luckily I am just doing their names with a polar bear design but will still take me long enough!!!

I have ordered fabric for Penguin doorstop so once the boys stockings are finished I will be able to get started on that.

nmm - oh you can see that you are in the home straight now.

Firefly your sampler is so pretty and one for the little one to keep forever.

Pm2326 the back stitching really makes the mountains stand out. I can see why you are doing it as you go along.

Rhaben looking forward to seeing the wolf all finished in 3d

right a quick watch of Tom Kerridge and then off to bed for me.

  • I thought I was mad stitching until 2 a.m. on Saturday night especially as I had to be up by 7.30 but I'm obviously not the only one who finds it difficult to stop stitching

It is so hard to put down when you are enjoying it. Wonder how many of us say "just going to finish this colour/row/section"...lol

Caroline - That is some late night stitching:eek:. Are you trying to meet a deadline?

Not really a deadline, but I am stitching for a charity craft stall and am worried that I won't have enough stock, so I am trying to do as much as I can...xx
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

Does anyone know where I can find a conversion list from Bothy threads to Anchor and DMC? I have no numbers, just colour names and I'm trying to organise all of the threads I received with the charity shop kits and it's doing my head in!

  • I think that Bothy Threads use Madeira threads... if that helps you x
