    Evening,

Glad that today is over at work, 1st working day of the month is always a nightmare. Got home late and then did some sewing. Progress pic on Rosa:

that sisters cushion is lovely but then again i havent seen a lizzie kate yet that i didnt like.

JCS Rossa is looking lovely, great progress

found a website for my garden bench
    http://www.pollyandkatiedesigns.com/page3.htm
had another GRRR day with it yesterday, i did the first colour of the basket on the floor starting at the handle but when id finished it wasnt sitting on the floor (ie the same row as the bench legs) spent ages counting and re counting to see where id gone wrong then realised because id run out of the bench colour my seat part was only one row thick not three! so i had to unpick it and replace it another two rows down. basket is now done i just need to add the flowers.
i just hope my step mum likes it because after all this hassle i dont think it will give me any pleasure to look at.

thank you again for the mag review, ill keep my money in my purse this month i think.

weve got two more weeks here till our schools break up for summer

  • Ta for initial post - I'll add mine in red greenermmm noo purple

Although my copy arrived yesterday I didn't have time last night to read it  All spare time during the evening was consumed by altering a bridesmaid dress. But loved reading yours and Louise's reviews.

Thanks for the link to the craftee site - like you I was very impressed by the range of aperture cards. I found the flip flop ones near the bottom of the shaped aperture cards page (very long!) though I don't think I would ever order that particular shape.

Thanks for the link but I won't be rushing to buy anything from their range having read about your awful experience. You have great patience - I think it would have become a UFO in my house

I gave in to temptation and ordered the Lizzie Kate To Do List chart from sewandso - it arrived yesterday and I've only had time to glance at it but I still really like it and it isn't very big. I've been very good about not adding to my stash but when I got home on Sat I found some money in my pocket put there by friends because I had been the designated driver all day - this was their contribution to the petrol and parking which I had refused. So I used some of it to buy the chart :D But stitching it will have to wait until I have finished the wedding ring pillow at least.

:wave::wave::wave: to you all - I couldn't find you for a minute. It's been that long since I posted on here.

Not been doing much stitching though. Found a new hobby in Papercutting. Loving it and my stitched pieces weren't selling so time for a change of direction.

I got my pieces back from the magazine call for home stitchers and although I wasn't successful, I got some nice comments about how neat my stitching was.

I hope to get my AOY piece to the framers that another lovely stitcher helped me complete so I will post a piccie when I get it back.

    Hope everyone is well

Glad youve found us and also found time to post. Sorry you werent successful in getting the mag stitching work Emma. Good luck to you with the papercutting, ive seen some beautiful examples on the christmas thread so im sure that will sell. where do you post your pieces or do you just sell at craft fairs etc.

hope all are well, made the most of a quiet night last night and finished the plant pot just got the two hanging baskets left, then i feel an email coming on.
sweetcarer thank you so much for your kind offer to see if you had the threads im short of but because there are so many now i think i need to write to the company and point this out so they can check whether its just a one off or if their kits need adding to.

    hope all are well
