link doesn't work
Here's my June update on London Undergroundloves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
chicky thanks for that link. I am after something like that. For some reason ebay never occurred to me last nite (I blame the late hour)
flowersofscotland that first picture is so beautiful. A bit above my very beginner level but it would have been so good.
tellmeitsfriday thanks for the link. It doesn't work but I did google Faye Whitaker instead.
Gonna take another couple of days to decide on one. Thanks for nudging me in the right direction0 -

If you are looking for something simpler then would this be suitable?
Looking forward to reading about what you finally choose0 -

grrrrrr mrs m it's soo annoying to run out of thread. I know tis an obvious question but you havn't done it in 2 strands instead of 1 or anything have you??? do they have a facebook page?? you should be able to get the company to send more threads (or cover the cost of buying them).
Hope you are starting to feel a bit better.
that was the first thing i checked after the 2hd thread colour ran out, the first i thought ok, the second i thought i must be doing something wrong,
No definatley using threads as they've instructed. 1 strand of each on the adia emmellishments and two strands of each to cross stitch on the main linen piece.
ive now run out of 3 colours. im going to do what i can minus the back stitch then photo it and send them a picture. it seems pointless contacting them till i.ve done as much as i can as i dont know if ill actually have enough of any of the colours:mad: gosh im a grumpy thing today arent i:o
on a lighter note virgin played up yesterday so no tinternet all day (but it came back when they said it would:T) so that meant whole day of stitchiness followed by the white queen:j
hope all are well, love all the photos and updates
feeling a bit better now so should think about tidying as well as stitching;)SPC~12 ot 124

Afternoon all, hope everyone is happy and busy stitching, some good progress pics going up, looking forward to seeing progress on the Underground, great idea.
Didn't realise it was the 19th June since I was last on the forum. Good to see we have a new thread and a lovely new crafting section (yay)
Have been busy here watching Wimbledon, cheering on Murray and Robson. I have still been stitching though, Some pieces for the kids' teachers and an Irish Blessing which I designed myself for a family who are moving home. Will post a pic of that soon.
Need to get that wedding sampler to the framer this week (leaving it late as usual)
Schools are on hols here now so should have plenty stitchy time - going back to fairy godmother this afternoon once I read my new magazineCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. CROSS STTCH CARD SHOP - Issue 91 Jul/Aug
FREE GIFT - AOY, little girl holding basket of flowers. Very simple design, witch a plain white card.
FLOWERPOT CAT - Cat in a flowerpot. It doesn't tempt me at all, and the chart has been printed very small for some reason
BIRDHOUSES - New home card ideas. Pretty but not something I would stitch
FLIP FLOP CARDS - Um...not really too sure what occasion I would send these to someone for.
GRAFFITI CARDS - Nice to see cards for older boys in a street art style. Still not sure how much a teenage boy would appreciate a stitched card though lol:rotfl:
ZOO CUTIES - Cute animals - hippo, monkey, tiger, elephant, giraffe, lion. These would actually look nice on a small afghan or a baby block.
SIXTIES CARDS - Hippy stuff, flower power, camper van, peace sign etc. Not really for me but others might find them suitable for someone.
BIRTHDAY BANNERS - I like these but it's a lot of work just for a card. I would probably use a small frame instead.
CHART REQUEST - Hate the 'grumpy frog'. The confirmation one is nice but not something I will need to stitch. There is also a guinea pig and a wrestler
AT THE BEACH - Nice seaside scenes but none I will stitch.
NEXT ISSUE - OMG the Christmas stuff is coming!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
MISS AUGUST / MISS SEPTEMBER - Ladies with a monthly theme (Aug is Scottich and Sept is 'night at the proms'). Not too keen on them tbh.
CHARM TAGS - These are cute. I would probably stitch a thick length of silver thread on fabric (Like an unclasped bracelet chain.) and stitch a few of these 'along' the chain with a name underneath.
Overall I think the tags are the only thing I will stitch from this mag.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. The chart says to use evenweave but 14 count aida would be fine0 -
Ta for initial post - I'll add mine in red greenermmm noo purpleCROSS STTCH CARD SHOP - Issue 91 Jul/Aug
FREE GIFT - AOY, little girl holding basket of flowers. Very simple design, witch a plain white card.
not a fan of AOY but it might make a nice card for my nanna.
FLOWERPOT CAT - Cat in a flowerpot. It doesn't tempt me at all, and the chart has been printed very small for some reason
cute, but not sure i'd use it. i'd not noticed how poor the chart was till you pointed it out but i agree.
BIRDHOUSES - New home card ideas. Pretty but not something I would stitch
snap
FLIP FLOP CARDS - Um...not really too sure what occasion I would send these to someone for.
I like these, but again why I'd stich them is anyones guess.
WHY the speial apertures ere created in the first place amazes me.
They are NOT on the craft creations website as originally stated but on craftee (mentioned on the next page). Now one look at craftee looks like a 2yr old created it, and has expensive postage but ohhhhh does some LOVELY unique apertures. no sign of the flip flop one tho.
GRAFFITI CARDS - Nice to see cards for older boys in a street art style. Still not sure how much a teenage boy would appreciate a stitched card though lol:rotfl:
useful for perhaps those 7/8 year olds who are too old for kiddie cards but not old enough for 'boyish' cards?? actually I know a daddy who would like the controller one
ZOO CUTIES - Cute animals - hippo, monkey, tiger, elephant, giraffe, lion. These would actually look nice on a small afghan or a baby block.
They are super cute, but I'd not stitch them except for fun.
SIXTIES CARDS - Hippy stuff, flower power, camper van, peace sign etc. Not really for me but others might find them suitable for someone.
pffft
BIRTHDAY BANNERS - I like these but it's a lot of work just for a card. I would probably use a small frame instead.
snap, tho not sure i'd even frame them as they aren't the sort of thing that would be displayed
CHART REQUEST - Hate the 'grumpy frog'. The confirmation one is nice but not something I will need to stitch. There is also a guinea pig and a wrestler
none that I'd stitch. grumpy frog is awful!!
AT THE BEACH - Nice seaside scenes but none I will stitch.
snap....... "why" springs to mind again.
NEXT ISSUE - OMG the Christmas stuff is coming!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
That was my reaction until i reaslised it was the september issue!! :rotfl:
They other ideas look too childlike or too much effort.
MISS AUGUST / MISS SEPTEMBER - Ladies with a monthly theme (Aug is Scottich and Sept is 'night at the proms'). Not too keen on them tbh.
I would say nah but actually i know my mum would appreciate the scottish one.
CHARM TAGS - These are cute. I would probably stitch a thick length of silver thread on fabric (Like an unclasped bracelet chain.) and stitch a few of these 'along' the chain with a name underneath.
i like them but not the clasp bit as unless you know what it is i don't think you'd know what it is (if that makes sense). I like your idea tho.
Overall I think the tags are the only thing I will stitch from this mag.
think mine will be added to the next ebay lotloves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0
