I have experienced this in the past and it's the reason I never buy cheaper fabric from ebay anymore - I only buy branded fabric (Zweigart is my favourite). It costs a little more but at least I know my projects won't be ruinedCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Just to let you know that Louise has added a review of the new cross Stitch Crazy to the review thread and I've made comments on it.
Going to do a bit more to my Nativity ABC this evening. Think I'll stitch until Friday evening (not all the time - still have to work and sleep unfortunately) and then make a decision as to whether the fabric is worth continuing with.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Hi all,
Haven't posted for ages, sorry!
firefly - congrats on your news :j
To all those who posted pictures of their skein stash, I am supremely jealousI have a DMC folder with the plastic inserts so have about 100 colours I suppose. Would love to have a full set one day.
Feeling really rough with a very bad sore throat which came on Friday and got a little better at the weekend, now back with a vengeance. DH has gone out to get me some throat spray as honey and hot water is not helpingMay be off work tomorrow as the weather looks bad here (I'm a gardener), so will spend some time stitching the flower shop and hope to have an update pic to post in the next day or so.
Received my first Cross Stitch Crazy from a subscription I took out. Not all that impressed, but not bad for a £1 :money:
Happy stitching everyone!

Just about finished the last of my little dinosaurs, only the back stitching to do.find frames and then two Christmas pressies are done.
The next project is to start 12days of Christmas, any tips on what is the best place to start i.e from the middle as usual or graph it out and do them in turn?
It looks really, really good.it will turn into a Christmas tradition,to start Christmas off when you put it up on show.fantastic!
Hi Mrs ceejay - I tried to follow the instructions in the book ie with the gridlines and then just took each day as a separate little project. I did the backstitch as I went along too just so that I didn't have to do a marathon backstitch at the end. Still need to get some dowelling and cord/chain ready for the making up.
Looking forward to seeing the framed dinos.

winnie - good luck with the stall.
nmm - great BD update. You seem to be flying along now.
Mags_cat, Erics Mum, Louise and sweetcarer - great pics of your organised threads. I did sort of challenge myself to have all my threads organised during 2013 - well time is running out and it just hasn't happened.Hubby bought me 200 - 300 threads last Christmas and they are still in plastic bags - I have bought the bobbins ready though
Skint_chick - welcome to the Cafe. Love New York pic. Looking forward to seeing more updates.
mos - well done on getting the caravan couple kit.
firefly - woo hoo :j great news. Hope all goes well for you all. Don't forget to let us all know how you're doing. Your butterfly picture is so sweet btw.
sweetcarer - the colours on spring sampler are beautiful. Love your learning sampler too. Looking forward to seeing all the different stitches.
bossymoo - keeping popping into the Cafe and you'll soon pick up some motivation. Just set yourself little mini targets and when you see it grow then you won't be able to put it down. It's worth a try.
Flat Eric - good idea to have a separate thread for reviews etc.
fos - hopefully 12 Days will be made into a wall hanging - watch this space
ems - love the pirates. Looks quite fiddly with lots of colour changes.
JCS1 - love your birth sampler. The colours are beautiful.
Ailsb - sorry to hear that you are struggling with your fabric - its so bloomin frustrating. My 12 Days was going to be a 11.12.13 piece but I finished the cross stitch sooner but it isn't made up yet so will that count or is that cheating :shhh:
Coxy - hope you feel better soon.
Must must must sort out Wine cushion for friends birthday (next Tuesday) - finished stitching what seems like ages ago and I bet I will still be rushing at the last minute.
Have been stitching The Snowman card that came with last WOCS.
Sorry for long rambling post. Will make an effort to try and keep up with you all.

Spotted this in the recent Cross Stitch Crazy, just wonder if anyone has seen it before in their internet travels? I like that one Louise. I had my eye on a Madonna and Child pic last week on Eb@y and couldn't decided whether or not I should get it. I didn't want to get it just to lie with all the other unstitched charts. Bet one of the Cafe sleuths will soon track it down for you.
