Sorry the mini kidcats are still poorly, hope they feel better soon.
Great news about the zebra baby Mrs LW.

DH has a job interview today (for a job he doesn't want, but hey beggars can't be choosers) and I have DD's friends coming round so am tempted to run for the hills. However, my sister and family are coming tomorrow so housework calls.
Oh and DS's remaining fish has died so I will be conducting a funeral service today too. :(

They have just collected a big 3 room tent from a work colleague who is emigrating and plan to take the Zebra child to Glastonbury this year, they were lucky enough to get tickets, braver than me Gunga Dinn!!! Lyn xxx.

They are likely to be in the same field as me and DS then :)

I remember those first few weeks with DD so well. No one prepares you for how horrible they can be, it was a massive shock. I think I had PTSD after a difficult birth and those first few weeks.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Morning Toughies, horrid and drizzly here this morning but forecast to clear up by lunchtime. He Who Knows has gone off for morning walkies in full waterproofs as it's the kind of rain that soaks you very quickly. DD2 has gifted me a computer of my very own, she mainly works with a laptop but has consilodated with their other computer as they don't now have the room for Zebra and all his stuff and the 2 desks they had previously in the study. I'm going to set it up in a corner of the lounge so I can stay in the warm and not sit in the study which isn't heated, brrrrrr!!! DD1 is going down for a couple of days to help out and generally adore the Zebra child so little sister will be in a bit better shape and less tired after that. My lodger has had confirmation that she can move into her room on Friday week and start to get settled down here, she loves the job and the people she works with but now needs to set about making some friends and getting herself a social life. We're very quiet here in the village and geared to an older population so she'll have more options in the city. Never mind, pub quiz this evening and supper out so, about as exciting as it ever gets here!!! Have a good day everyone, stay afloat, Lyn xxx.

Absolutely horrible day here too, rain battered down all night and is still going strong. If this weather goes on all year then people will get so down.
  • Morning all

DS9 going stir crazy here and DS7 doesn't feel up to going out. I am still coldy but better and want to go out too. Will try and go out for a short while as a compromise and drive rather than walk into town. Have a couple of errands to run and need milk. Promised DS9 we can do the £shop challenge game where I give them a quid and see who can get the best item. Trouble is we have several pound shops so have to plan our shopping route carefully so we don't end up in all of them!

Yes ginny we are trying to make the most of the holiday although it hasn't gone as planned. There are plenty of other times anyway. DH's insomnia is starting up again and he has gone to work on about 2 hours sleep and a strong coffee. Ouch to your OH's finger!

Mrs LW, so good to hear family life is slowly settling down for DD and her little family. You all have so many happy and special times ahead. :)

Every time I sit down for more than 30 seconds, monsieur posh cat jumps on my lap and I haven't the heart to move him off so getting things done is taking longer than usual. I need to get ready to go out so sorry posh cat (his online name not his real name!)

    sq :)
  • Glad you had a lovely concert McCulloch, sounds a magical evening. Please say hello to your concert pal from me.

Just de-lurking to wonder if Fuddle's all right? I don't think she's posted for a few days. Hope she's just busy/tired.

(((HUGS))) to you all, lovely supportive lot that you are.

Oh, nearly forgot, Mar are you starting to feel any better again yet?

I was wondering abt fuddle as well. Thanks Ivy pet, I've been worse! xx
  • I think Fuddles working lots of hours at the moment, she said in her last post she'd had to work an extra weekend so I expect she's out on her feet and very time strapped at the moment. If you're reading FUDDLE hope you're not running yourself ragged pet, don't let them use you at work more than you are able to cope with, Hugs Lyn xxx.
