What amazing news lynn, he's so cute :)

Ouch, kidcat your poor back, just take it easy.

my friend was supposed to come over today but couldnt make it. so were arranging another day instead.
Gas man came, safety check all done passed with flying colours.
Were waiting on OH to come back from work then,i think we might go for a walk.

Its looking very ominous outside though, but should hopefully hold off for a bit.

The boys are very relaxed today, its goes to show when you take stress away. Ds1 is under pressure right now, we have regarding his gcses and what options to take. So I said to him right take a couple of days off relax and then we'll have a good chat about
No idea if this was a good idea but I thought take stress off and,see what happens.

Hi everyone, just managed to catch up again with all the news. Mum has to return again tomorrow for another heart scan. Luckily its my only day off so I can be taxi. My shoulder is no better, but I try and rest when I can.
Yesterday was suppose to be a half day at work, but again someone rang in sick so I ended up going to a meeting 60 miles away, and then returning until close time. Finished today at 3, so just having 5 mins to myself. Have created a masterful tea, its mince and onions lightly fryed and then put in a dish with hash browns on top and cheese. I hope its ok, just using up some bits n bobs from the freezer.
OH came home from work yesterday with a letter asking for voluntary redundansies, he was told he is ok. But when 2 depots merge who knows. Our hours at work have been cut and we will be made to single man every evening until close at 10pm. Im seriously thinking I may need another job.

So from this payday we will need to be even more frugal. the worse thing is we have a holiday booked, just the 2 of us for September. Now I know its not very ms, but mum offered me some money for a trip and we booked it. Hopefully better weather is here soon need to do lots of car bootys.....

There are sinkholes appearing all over the country... it shouldn't be too problematic

Oh I love it - there will be hundreds of grumpy old men all over the country mysteriously disappearing and sink holes that suddenly are alot less deep at this rate. :rotfl:

Nutty - is it safe to expect you to work alone until 10pm? Do you not handle cash? Sounds very unsound to me.

I think we have a kitty name settled - Wellington Womble!! When you see him you will understand why :)

Mardatha - how are you getting on with finding your kitty? After my experiences with breeders, its probably best not to mention the RV, they may decide its not appropriate :rotfl:

A lady is coming to do a home visit soonish, and I will threaten the RV to within an inch of his life to open his gob when she is here. He is going to seen and not heard until she leaves. if she speaks to him he is to smile and let me answer for him.
Or maybe I'll just shove him into the shed until she's gone. Far safer!

Tomorrow is supposed to be a rain-free day. I do hope so, cycling without getting wet is becoming a novelty.
Haven't heard from DD as to when she plans a visit - it's usually Friday in half-term week. I went a bit mad with treats for DGC in Heron and now they are all taunting me from the fridge, freezer and cupboards.
I had the local live music club this evening and am still wide awake, plus I had a huge lie in this morning.
I woke with agonising bite-the-duvet CP cramps in my legs and feet when I tried to move. The only way to cope without hollering was to lie still, ignore cramps and hastily go back to sleep. I'm afraid I did this several times... Thankfully I don't get these all the time, as some do, and because I was previously very well toned, (not any more!) they are a fairly recent symptom.

I love the name Wellington Womble. Long grey fur?

Morning all, just trying to catch up with you all on my day off. Been dashing around cleaning and tidying but am full of cold again so have made myself sit down.

Mar I have the perfect cat for you - he is fourteen and very grumpy and prone to tantrums so should get on famously with the RV

MrsLW hoping the little Zebra continues to do well and that your daughter manages to get some rest. I remember it well...and as they get older they give us sleepless nights for other reasons....

The garage are coming today to collect my car for its service so I'm going to have a rummage through the cupboards and freezer to see what needs using up. I'm doing most of my food shopping online at the moment so that I don't spend my precious free time trawling round the shops. It seems to be working well, I can take advantage of offers to stock up but I'm not tempted by impulse buys. Saves lugging all the heavy stuff around too.

Planning to make a big batch of muesli bars later (basically flapjacks with fruit :rotfl: ) so I can throw in all the odds and ends of dried fruit and seeds. Much nicer and cheaper than shop bought. Also a batch of cakes if I feel up to it but I am trying really hard to pace myself and not wear myself out on my day off!

Came across a no-knead bread recipe yesterday evening. I have three bags of bread flour to use and bread maker gave up the ghost months ago so think I will give it a try. Will probably have to wait till the weekend as it needs to prove for 12 to 30 hours but if it works I'll post the recipe.

    Take care all xx

Good luck with your home visit Mardatha, maybe you could lock the RV under the stairs? :)

McCulloch - ouchy sounds very painful and not at pleasant, hope today is better for you.
He is a creamish long hair and hair brown "mitts" up his legs so looks like he is wearing wellies :)

Have to take Ds9 back to doctor today, his meds have finished and he seems worse now than last week. I have woken with a roaring cold, no idea where it came from it just appeared.
DS9 has asked to have a drive to the safari park this morning, so as long as doctor sees him fairly quickly we can drive out and around the animals, then home again and the kids all stay tucked up in car safe and warm.
