Cheapskate, I have no idea if you are supposed to enjoy it or not. However I do believe that you are supposed to be trained for these things and anyone with half an eye can see that you are just overloaded. Telling you to have more time for your self must make you feel like biting lumps out of the carpet. If only! All I can say, having been in that situation, is that it does get better in time but you may not be able to wait that long. All I can suggest is that you carve little snatches of time out for yourself - no matter how small - and really make them count. If the opportunity arises for even 10 minutes break, grab it with both hands for YOURSELF and not as an opportunity to do some household chore. The work will be there when you emerge from a break, but if you go on as things are, you might not be.
Wish I could be more help but just hang on in there petal.

Cheapskate I quite like my counsellor too, shes funny and into same novels as me. I enjoy our sessions :)

I have to laugh when they say time to yourself. If I ever time time alone I don't know what to do with myself.

Your a braver woman than me facing the cold!

My adventure involved the van and, other really hot buildings. Lol I'm a wuss

Forgot to mention phoned the cat charity today and getting both kittens nuertered and soared for £26! They have to be 16 weeks old. So by march they will be free from making baby kitiies. They so little and cute, the female would make beautiful kittens but I can't risk anything happening to them. Best getting them done and not have the stress of being in season.

So really pleased about that :)
  • Morning Toughies, rough old night with the wind being so strong but actually dry this morning, quite a novelty these days.

Ezra gets weighed again today so hoping he'll have gained a bit more, DD2 says he has chicken legs, poor little boy!! and has nicknamed him her little 'bean sprout'! The midwife on Thursday thinks he might have a tongue tie which is not allowing him to feed properly so they have an appointment at the appropriate clinic on Wednesday morning. I'm going down on the train for Wednesday/Thursday so will be there to give her a hand in whatever way I can. Maybe that's the reason he's had these initial problems and curing that might let him grow and thrive, let's hope so anyway!!!

Have a good Sunday all of you, Lyn xxx.

MrsLW - will be thinking of them today as he gets weighed, :)

Manic day yesterday to get things sorted that I have been putting off, visit to Costco, returning a Christmas present type stuff. Today we have the joy of visiting Ikea to spend our Christmas tree vouchers on a new chest of drawers for DS9 - his current set besides falling apart on many an occassion and being held together by sheer will power are far too small now, and things are crammed into place rather than neatly stored.

Still struggling with cat breeders who are it seems have black balled me far and wide, for no other reason than my audacity to mention autism. My friends are saying I should have lied in the beginning but it was important to find the right temperament and the only way for a breeder to advise is to have the proper facts.

Hope things get sorted soon Mrs LW.

Thanks for the link to the flooding video. I can't imagine what it must be like but much better to see these videos than the news pictures of weathermen standing by the coast or pictures of politicians getting out of the back of tractors and saying their soundbites.

Thank goodness for the red cross and others. And lets hope that all authorities everywhere will realise that you cannot neglect dredging and draining.

    Rant over!

Just having my annual de-lurk to say,Kidcat that's outrageous! Can you get a friend to phone for you to arrange to go and see the kitties then you accompany them? That way you can do the choosing without the small minded breeders putting their bigoted barriers up? Hope you get it sorted for your DS.
  • My DD was tongue tied, as were 2 of her children, the midwife & Dr both advised snipping the tie. I refused & persevered with b'feeding & by about 4 months she was feeding normally & the tie had stretched with the exercise of sucking.

  • Thanks HESTER, I'll pass that very interesting and pertinent bit of information on to her when she contacts us this afternoon, bless you that will make her feel less down, Lyn xxx.
  • Evening all.

Been stuck in the tail end of the storms over the weekend. We’ve a damaged front garden & slippery grounds but nothing as near to those poor souls on the Somerset levels and beyond!

So, We have spent some of the day repairing / cleaning up as much as we can. We’re due another battering tonight. Just hoping that the forecasts are wrong! Mother Nature, We “need” a break.

I asked recently about repairing our all season duvet and was told about snap poppers. However, Looking into it (Beauty of U*tube) it seems that its not easy and we also need to buy a snap tool? Could someone shed some light on whether its easy enough for beginners to do? And is the tool essential?

Got my appointment to under go IV sedation at the dental hospital to have these problem teeth removed. I am terrified. Has anyone ever had an IV sedation before?

This was my last week of counselling. I’m a little sad as I had formed a bond with her and sadly it had to come to an end. But on a better note, I have been given some excellent tools to understand & cope with things. I’ve also had some answers to questions that’s been on my mind for a very long time. So, For anyone considering counselling, I would snap up the chance.
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy
