Kidcat - if you have breast pain you should be able to book an emergency appointment. Or request a call from the triage nurse who can book you in. There are very demanding targets for breast referrals. I was called in same day when I called up with a similar issue, and referred to the hospital immediately and was seen within a week. So tell them what the problem is and the system should work for you.0

Greenbee Thank you that puts my mind at ease.0

Feeling almost human now thanks Kidkat, just ruddy insomnia now. Ho hum.
Woke up to a lake in the conservatory so turfed all the furniture out, got the blinds down (hadn't realised they'd got mould on so they've been binned), cleaned all the windows and white PVC down, scrubbed the floor and put everything back - looked lovely as we had some blue skies and sunshine for a few hours, almost spring like. The wind and rain is back now though and plastic pots are strategically catching drips.
Sold some stuff on a local FB selling group so my garden make over savings pot is looking a bit more healthy and the house is looking clearer. DH complained for the 5th time about having no phone signal at home and managed to get out of his contract with no fees to pay! Result as he had over a year left on it. It was only £11 a month but he can now go to a plan that should cost around £10 every 8 weeks. Result!

No-one coming out to play today then. I'm not surprised, it's pretty draughty on that doorstep not to mention damp.
The sun was shining in a clear blue sky this morning so I did a quick rush up the high street and it was lovely. Walked into the first shop, picked up what I wanted, turned round at a peculiar noise and it was hailstones coming down so hard that it's a wonder nobody was knocked out. It's been like that all day, sunny one moment and dark, stormy and windy the next. DS1 walked down to the end of his road to see what the beach looked like. He arrived just in time to see someone's beach hut floating past and smashing itself to smithereens on the sea wall.
I can smell bacon so the Rev must be making a bacon sandwich for tea. Bacon is a smell I can't resist, like toast and coffee.
Kidcat: it sounds as though you are running on empty again. It would be different if you could see an end in sight but I don't think you can at the moment. You will take every opportunity to rest won't you? Silly thing to say but can't think of anything more helpful. Get that appointment made and be very, very kind to yourself.
Good news indeed Lyn. hope it all settles down soon for all your sakes.

Glad little Ezra has put some more weight on Mrs LW.
You have my empathies re the insomnia Pooky, hope you can get some decent sleep soon. I had a bad night Thurs and my sleep pattern still hasn't sorted itself out. Sorry to hear about your conservatory, what a pain.
Glad you have finally got your nasal op coming up Shegar. Just need SS to pull their finger out now.
Kidcat - look after yourself sweetie and get your appointment using fair means or foul.
We are a tired/poorly household, well Dh and I anyway so all in PJs all day. Had a nap in the afternoon, just couldn't stay awake. DH nagged me about getting something fixed at home and I told him I am doing my best, getting all the essentials done and working on my mental health with course and counselling and actually think I am doing pretty well all things considered. When I came down from my sleep he was heating up the casserole remains and had pots and veggies on the go. Think he realises he put his foot in it.
Hoping for a better day tomorrow as kids need to get out and we are meant to be going out for a birthday meal for DH. DH came home from work early Friday feeling rough so scuppered my plans to finish his birthday pressies. Will need to smuggle stuff into the bathroom tomorrow to finish.
Been looking at the footage re the flooding again. I can't imagine how some poor folk are coping. My heart goes out to them. We haven't had any big problems here but I looked at the floodplain map for our area and I am surprised to see we are closer to a flood plain than I thought. When I have more energy I need to get myself on the SHTF thread and do some more prepping - our house is so disorganised.
keep your chins up folks, spring won't be too long

Dear All
I haven't posted in a while but have been reading along. Sorry to hear that so many are unwell, I hope you are feeling better soon. I am still fighting the black dog, but he will be TAMED one day soon. I realise that I am so lucky when just a couple of miles from me the folks on the Levels are suffering so much. I hope you don't mind me sharing this link.

Evening everyone
(((Hugs))) to all the poorlies, black dog sufferers (me, too, so know what you're going through), and glad DD and Ezra doing a bit better today, lyn x
I've been seeing a counsellor for a few weeks, not doing too bad, but she keeps telling me I need time for myself, easier said than done! However, I have had 2 lots of half an hour completely alone this week, no clock watching, not rushing a meal - have to admit it felt like Heaven!.
Took the littlies to their first football match today, blinking freezing, but our side won, so DS was over the moon; think he's got the bug now!

Its blowing a storm here, took the three men of the house to a comic / toy convention. It was busy but good, lots of people dressed up a huge walking moving around the convention. Ds2 was amazed by it and its owner was john pertwee lookalike and was fab. He acted like the doctor and spoke like him too.
After that we when on a mini adventure and took the boys for a little drive to see a massive crane on a ship. Ds1 was not impressed when we found out couldn't get past the border to the dry dock. So hes going to ask his teacher if they can take them to visit it., never know might work, I thought it was quite a good idea.
Came back after that the sky went so dark , the clouds were crashing together. So we drove home and scoffed junk food of chips and played games. First time we've had chips in months at home. So it was quite a change, kids loved it, and had were saying how great it was chilling with home made pizza.
OH finally relaxed toda, hea been so stressed with everything and finally said how happy he was that I, had stopped the forum work and how I'm making progress. First time he's said that so im, feeling more postive.
Can't wait for lightening, news said earlier we might some, already had thunder. Love a good storm0 -
I give up. Another post disappeared into the ether.
Briefly - I agree about storms Kez, they're awesome.
Your counsellor deserves a medal Cheapskate. Talk about stating the bl**ding obvious.
Hope you have a better night's sleep Pooky and SQ.
Night all.

:rotfl: Oh hun, so true! Half of my problems are cos I have no down time, 4 year old daughter could see that! She's a smashing lady, though, it's nice to talk to her, if that doesn't make me sound weird! Are you supposed to enjoy counselling?July 2024 GC £0.00/£400
