Kidkat - get yourself off to that GP ASAP! Consider yourself told! X
Beautiful afternoon, all sun shiny and blue skies with big fluffy white clouds...the calm before the storm.
Just went to visit MIL who is recovering from an op earlier in the week, she's looking very sprightly, lovely to see her in so much less pain. She'd been sent a beautiful basket of flowers from her work colleagues but gave them to me as we left as she can't abide white baskets....??? Her loss is my very pretty gain!
Hugs all round, sounds like a lot of toughies are in need at the moment."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
aw princess i'm so sorry
what a horrible awful thing to do, hope the authorities can do something.
were just sat in, ds2 came home in the taxi, driver dropped him right off at the door. Took me ages to stumble out to collect the little. Driver was very concerned and chastised me saying i should told the office to tell the driver to bring son to the door. I paid home straight £5 instead of £4.20, i know its extra but the firm have been fantastic. Just wish i had more money to give them.0 -
Ezra gained 40g overnight WOOHOO!!! DD2 sounds like herself again and isn't crying all the time either. Next review is Sunday when the midwife will weigh him again and hopefully he will have gained more weight by then. We're not out of the clouds yet but I think I spy a small chink of sunbeam!!! That's good news Lyn, so a visit to the hospital once again avoided.
I am so glad DD is feeling more settled now and I am sure Ezra will gain more weight. The trouble is we hang on every word the midwife says because we know she is experienced and we are not with our first baby.
I am sure both of them will be fine once a routine is established.

Great news lynn!!
They'll soon get into a routine, I remember when ds1 was first born. He was on the highest centile for height, head circumference was perfect for height., but he was seriously underweight. He was stupidly but had to grow into his skin. I breastfed him and he fed constantly. Still didn't put weight on, but he was growing and developing at a fast rate. The midwife and health visitor kept saying bottle feed but I refused and asked for a specialist to check ds1. This was at 2 weeks old, the specialist said to me reduce amount of dairy so I, did. Ds1 started settling with colic and, feeding better. Had another check up a week later but on 2oz but had grown in length again and his skull was growing. we were discharged and were told that our child was very healthy and that his body was just focusing on bone growth.
One thing the specialist did advise was goats milk as the lack of lactose and cows being to heavy. When we weaned him we used goats milk and he, piled the weight on. Then slowly mixed it with cows, no intolerances just a bottomless pit to fill.
The health visitor went mad and said at, age 17 I should be monitored and that I shouldn't be breast feeding. I was fuming, but I volunteered to take ds1 to every weigh in and slowly but surely he put on weight. Unfortunately it was never a lot, but he his other development goals he surpassed. He's still skinny but huge, think he's 5"6 ish.0 -
Just could be an idea, 40g is a huge amount of weight!0

Wonderful news Mrs LW
Hope Pooky, Kez, Shegar and everyone is feeling a little better today
Yesterday was just a huge massive rush and I felt like I never really caught up with myself. Managed to prove DS15 had done the work I was called in about, but it took a fair amount of IT wizzery to show.
Have made another appointment at GP but its not until very end of Feb, am seriously considering calling for an emergency appointment this week and when they say its not an emergency explain it may not be but I cant pre plan my appointments with the boys needs being so high at the moment and hope they take pity on me
I am ashamed to admit after picking kids up from school, we went to collect DD19 from her school placement and ended up waiting 45 minutes - I fell asleep while sat there. Cannot believe I did it, so relieved nothing bad happened.0 -
Thats good news MrsLW. Must be very hard with your dd being a gp, hopefully though tptb wont treat her like an idiot as they often do
Kidcat hunny, no wonder you fell asleep, goodness woman you must be exhausted. can you find a few minutes this weekend for a nap before you are ill? xxx
