I just thought I would post this here. I read a few of the comments below and at least one asked where the veg was and many said it was unhealthy. What??? I looked at a photo and there certainly was veg.
I think there has been too much hype about how much variety we have as far as veg is concerned instead of looking at how much of it we eat as well as the other factors that make a healthy lifestyle.
I like this quote from the article "'People always talk about needing more money to have a better life. But really if you just make better use of the money that you do have, then you can achieve the same thing.'"

grandma - that was where I got the original names from
MrsLW - your poor DD, I can understand how hard it is to have to go back into the hospital. I am sure midwife has given loads of breastfeeding tips but it may be worth contacting the local breastfeeding group for any advice they have as well. Personally I found with DS9 I had to sit for half an hour before feeding, feet up and eat something. Then whilst feeding I was snacking and drinking. Keeping her fluid intake up is really important as is rest.
At my lowest point I literally concentrated on feeding baby, and kids, everything else got left.
Princess I am horrified ((hugs))
SQ - thank you I had totally forgotten they were due to expire0 -
I hope you complain to them then kidcat.0

when we finally get our kitty I will be sending a strong reminder about discrimination
Am gutted, have doctor appointment this morning I have waited two weeks for (one of my breasts is tender) and just had a call from DS15 unit and I have to go in, there is a problem with work he has done at home that needs to be with them before 11.30. So now I am redownloading it all to take in, but have had to cancel my appointment.0 -

Lesley was one of the main contributors to Weezl's threads here on MSE about feeding your family for £100 a month. That's how it all started for herIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
Not had much chance to linger on the doorstep - certainly some nasty business been going on and my virtual sympathies to everyone. As a quick note to Shegar the ENT folk don't seem to go for so much 'tampon up the nose' stuff these days but obviously each case is different. The best thing you can do is to try not to panic at the thought of not being able to breathe - if you have lived with sinus problems for a while you will be used to breathing through your mouth, so keep calm and carry on as they say...
MrsLurcherwalker I fed all my three, but always said that I gave skimmed milk compared to my friend who I was convinced provided jersey cream.... your lovely DD will get there in the end, but she will be conflicted by medical advice and their 'averages' charts which can make new mothers doubt their natural instincts. Could a contact from the local NCT help ? We can all sympathise with the tears and grinding exhaustion that comes with every birth, and whilst I have no experience of PND I know you will be keeping a wary eye out for it. Poor loves, I spent countless hours playing a George Michael Album to my oldest while colicky, and my son bless him was soothed by the shipping forecast. My husband used to make me up a meals and snacks on a tray (to the point of peeling a satsuma and clingfilming it) to have day and night which might be a handy hint for your SIL when he goes back to work. The advice to any new mum to sleep and eat when the baby does is some of the best I think as far as it can be managed, but I am sure that your DD and little Ezra with the help of Oma will find their own way - we all did in the end and lived to tell the tale xThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Thanks GREENINKPEN, I know she'll be fine and so will Ezra. She was a difficult baby to feed and then had a total dairy foods allergy and an immature pyloric sphincter at the top of her stomach so we had 9 months of problems before she settled down and fed properly, she only stopped posseting (and worse) when she walked at 9 months so I have an understanding of DDs mindset at the moment. Bless her, she's a GP herself and I think that's some of the problem. Once it's sorted out they'll go onwards and upwards very quickly but it's a bit difficult for her at the moment and she really doesn't want to be readmitted if possible. However, needs must and all that, we'll get an update from her this afternoon, fingers crossed, Lyn xxx.0

Just popping in for a break but about to go out again.
Princess: that is terrible. I could string these people up honestly I could. What sort of minds do these people have that they can be so callous to defenceless animals (and children!) Would like to rant more but haven't time.
Lyn: Fingers crossed that they will be able to find the solution for Ezra. It seems so hard on your dd but it will soon be in the past and they will forget these hiccups.
Must dash

Princess that's awful, so sorry.
Kidcat I hope those people really think about what they're doing/saying. And I hope you find a kitty soon and not too far away.
Mrs LW, poor DD, hope she doesn't have to be readmitted.
Just got back from visiting a friend who's rabbits I am baby sitting at the weekend, and DH had taken the dogs out for a walk. Some huge dog apparently attacked Lottie and they've been barking at every dog they've met since. She seems to be fine, I don't think teeth connected, but the dog was on lead and DH said the woman who was supposed to be in control of him didn't say anything, let alone apologise.0
