Am sitting here with a glass of prosecco and a slice of lemon curd cake. Thanks again Kezlou for the recipe. It is delicious.

Madam, with respect, this is the OS board. We have hair shirts, bubble wrapped windows and frugal leftovers.

How you can smack your lips with such decadence and luxury without a morsel of repentance is shameful. :D

Ah!!, the proseccthingy is a peapod wine type stuff then?

In that case may I offer my humble apologies for the sanctimonious and very 'hair shirted' jealous criticism.

A very interesting read that proves what I have suspected about all the cotton wool kids are wrapped up in now.

Grandma - that is interesting. I guess it's a bit "chicken and egg" though in that in order to let kids have the freedom like that you have to make sure that the parents aren't going to be suing every five minutes when their little darling gets hurt.

I think it's an excellent way for schools to be, sadly I don't think we'll see it over here.

DH had a reaction to a FB pie yesterday, the same reaction he has when he's had fish, so I'm assuming some cross contamination in the factory or an ingredient in the gravy that contains fish that they've not labeled. Not pleasant for him and he's still looking very green..

I've house worked from the top to bottom of the house, the floors need a darn good mop but it's still so muddy that there's little point with all the paw prints that will instantly appear again, at least the sun is out today.

In my defence the wine was bought with the £5 off voucher from the coop and the lemon curd was YS. But point taken, I must try harder!

Afternoon everyone, been MIA for a bit, but lurking so think I'm just about up to speed!

Fuddle, you're def in the right job, being so concerned about your clients! :). Hope that if/when my mum needs more help than we can provide that we get someone as good as you. We're in the process of doing her POA, so those worries will be off her mind, and she can just do whatever floats her boat. I can see how people slowly worsen and become a full time job for their families, and how that can be too much at times.

I've been catching up on here, the grocery challenge and SHTF threads, have some motivation now to spend less, cook better and keep chatting - what a Godsend this thread is!! :rotfl:

Did something probably unwise yesterday and rescued another dog. Have spent today stopping our other dog going for her. Bit stressful! There's going to be a lot of cheap dog-friendly days out in our future.
Hope all had fun at Legoland and Sealife centre.

POSSESSION....I do hope that both the dogs will get on , ive just got the one dog now after losing little rosie, but no way would I rescue another one to go with Bo, I know dam well he would not tolerate another dog............They may get along , but for now you will have to have eyes up your arris with them:eek:...................
We had a mini tornado here at 5 pm on Saturday , it was over in about 6 mins but very scary , we didnt lose roof tiles etc, but lots of people did , plus windows smashing in their homes, not good at all, more expense for people to replace fence panels, windows , and roofs etc..........

Weather will turn very cold by this Wednesday , suppose to be only 3 degrees during the day , so we will feel the difference in temps...........

Ive got a roaring log fire on the go in the sitting room now , and it keeps this room at about 76 degrees with the door shut , so I dont have the GCH on of a night , every little helps.......

Hope you are all managing to keep fed and warm and in fine fettle......Take care all ....Sheila
