Glad you had a good bday Mrs L.
Pitlanepiglet I use a thick silicone sheet on the bottom of my oven. You can just scrape it off and shove it in the dishwasher every so often (preferably more often than I do it....). You can get them on ebay, like this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Extra-Large-Silicone-Baking-Sheet-Work-Mat-Oven-Tray-Liner-Pastry-Pizzas-Etc-RED-/380821670526?pt=UK_Bakeware&hash=item58aabd8a7e0 -

Good morning one and all
Thank you all so very much for your kind, wise and encouraging posts. I am feeling brighter today - probably due to all those posts - and am being kind to myself thanks FairyP (hot buttered toast and coffee wrapped up in blankets and hottie to defrost after school run.) I know I am daft sometimes but am entitled to be as we all are, part of the human condition. I am guessing various circumstances like my birthday and the weather are not helping.
I have heard back after submitting my counselling form (many pages long) and I have been assessed from that and offered short term counselling (no start date yet). I know exactly what will be top of my list to talk about so there will be no time wasted on that count at least.
I also have the option of attending 6 weekly sessions on mood and stress management beforehand - starting next week. They advise you attend (as they would.) I am not sure if it will help much as its lecture style so no talking from participants needed. I know the theory, it's putting into practice that's the hard bit! However I might learn some new things and possibly get chatting to some others in the same boat so I will be give it a go. I can walk or drive there with plenty of time after school run so it's perfect.
Oooh shiny new oven pitlanepiglet! I use a washable oven liner in mine - bought from All-dee. Saves getting on my hands ad knees to clean all the time. I recommend you get one.
Glad you haven't had any side effects FairyP. Hope your day goes well.
Fuddle, if I haven't said before, you are doing the right thing concerning your mam and sister - proud of you. You have a new life now and must continue putting your little family first.
ps does anyone else have trouble adding smilies? I can rarely get them these days??

Mrs LW - glad you had a !!!!ly birthday. The slightly stale hotcross bun made me smile!
The red cabbage recipe sounds good. I would like to have a go making it when I next go food shopping. I don't have caraway seeds or red wine - are they essential ingredients for flavour do you think?

yes did the same to me Lyn! ????0

I'd noticed that, isn't it weird? The swear filter must be having a funny fit!
Hester - ThanksWill try the apple every day, though i think I'd be wise to peel it before eating. I hope you manage to reduce your hours.
(((HUGS)) to all in need of some, you are all amazing xx
ETA - just looking at the SHTF thread, and the swear filter seems to have taken agin' the word s a l e s too!0 -
SQ the caraway seeds certainly are but the red wine just adds a little depth so not an essential. I buy little bottles of cooking wine that cost £1.15p from Wa*trose or Sainsbugs, they do a red and a white and they keep for absolutely ages if you keep them in the fridge. Useful for when you're buying cheaper cuts of meat to cook with, Lyn xxx.0

Hi.
Lovely seems to have been left in my post yesterday. Perhaps they think I'm a lost cause. Smilies seem to have completely disappeared.
I automatically think that it's something I am doing wrong - it usually is!

I just remember a thought for those who are struggling to do things, set a timer and do one job for 15 minutes only. So empty and sort 1 drawer or 1 shelf and finish as soon as the timer goes off. It is amazing how much it all adds up.
My smiley worked but I typed it in : )0
