Hi everyone
Merry Christmas to you all, hope you all had a good day yesterday. We had a lovely time in the VP household with various family members for either lunch or tea. We played spot the intro with BIL and SIL which gave us all lots to laugh about. Relaxing at home with a glass of fizz tonight. OH is in bed as he is getting up at 2am to go to work. Watching the Big Fat Quiz with my DD's with the Christmas lights on and the candles lit.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the festivities.
Mrs VPI am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

Lovely stories of your successful and happy Christmases.
Fuddle: you are a wicked girl. You know how my teacher's red biro twitches at misplaced commas and apostrophes. No, not really. I have realised that a whole generation of people were never taught these things in school and I would rather read acres of mispelt ungrammatical prose than have people worried over whether they were right or not. In the great scheme of things, what does it matter?
I also wish that you had been my Dad's carer the first Christmas we were on the Island. It was the first Christmas that I was not able to be with him because the ferries don't run on Christmas day. I went to a great deal of trouble making sure that carers would be coming in and had left a nice dinner for him in the freezer so they only had bung it in the microwave. A friend called in on her way home on Christmas evening to discover that he'd had no lunch at all. I raised cain when I arrived to have my Christmas Day with him on Boxing Day and the excuse was that the carer couldn't open the front door, had looked through the windows and couldn't see him so had just left. I asked him what he had done and he said he'd been OK because there were plenty of custard creams in the biscuit tin!
Heads rolled over that, I can tell you.
Lovely Christmas here. Very gentle lunch with people who would otherwise have been on their own and a very noisy and riotous meal with the the Drop-in in the evening. Lots of food, lots of music, we had 3 pianists, a saxaphone, a clarinet, a violin and a trumpet. We sang carols, danced and then had a jazz session. Presents for everyone and a lot of happy folk.
Today we were at DS and DIL's. DGS actually asked to give me a 'great big hug and kiss', quite something from a 12 year-old autistic boy. Mia (15 months) jabbers a lot and has two clear and much used words, "more" and "NO". As my DIL says - a trainee teenager.
Tomorrow is our day. Jammies on, sandwiches made, door locked, phone off hook and TV recordings ready to be enjoyed.
The wind is getting up!

Hiya, hope you all had a good Christmas. I don't come in here very often but am trying to find someone. Think I may have read/seen on this thread.
There was someone who said they had a grandson who loved Eddie Stobart, I think he may have been autistic? My OH works for them and we get a calendar sent to us, if she would like to pm me Oh would love to send the calendar on to him.

Hi Dazi
I did a quick thread search and I think it was Monnagrans DGs who liked Eddie - sure she will be on to let you know herself at some point, but she is a busy lady!
