Question ... does anybody know or has anybody priced out if it's cheaper cooking something like stew in a crockpot v gas hob/oven? We are having a (getting heated) discussion here lol0

Lovely christmasses had by all
I was at work from 2pm-10pm. Some of my old people had to have their christmas amongst the power cuts that lasted 48hours over christmas. Apart from the personal care, I spent a lot of my christmas evening reassuring and chatting. My lot had a funfilled day at home - DH made a mighty fine lunch.
Today we have been to the supermarket. So pleased we went as 75% off turkeys meant got 12person bird for £8. We'll have turkey based meals for the forseeable. Also got cheese's, pate and chutneys reduced. I can only think that its because they have christmas packaging on.
So my christmas is today with a roast dinner and cheeses later. A relax is well and truelly needed this evening.
I hope those of us effected by the deluge tonight get through it ok. Locally we're only just recovering off the last lot. Im driving 8.30am so hopefully the roads are not flooded again.0 -

Tell you that i am heading to OMO's christmas thread for next year as I never want to do things last minute ever again!! (Although cheese and pate buying on boxing day may be a new tradition for us as it saved a fair few pounds)
This is for monnagran... my post above has cheese's - I know it's grammatically so very wrong but thought I'd leave it to get on your nervesx
