TOsco have a half price cheese board at the moment good selection of mini cheeses for £4. Mini brie, wensleydale and cranberry, blue stilton, mature chedder smoked chubb and a small wedge of edam.
Ald! have a nice cheese pack too at the moment - we bought a few as gifts last year
We went to the forest to visit Santa today - its all changed and there was a minimum two hour wait, we left as DS9 would never have managed that one, and to be honest neither would I today.
So we are going to visit the reindeer farm instead as we can book tickets for that one0 -
Working on my list while hubby sleeps on sofa, some jobs can't be done as noisy, disturbing..
I loooooovvvvvveee cheese lol hubby buys me posh cheese instead of flowers. This all went a little wrong on my birthday this year, as he thought it would be great to order me a whole wheel of my favourite brie on line it duly arrived 2 weeks before my birthday and he stored it in his wardrobe... In August.. With no way of cooling it.. now I opened it on my birthday, nicely sealed in a plastic tub and bag..._pale_
I like ripe cheese but this one was forcing it's way out of the tub..... stank the house out for days...:rotfl:

When we were in Sweden a couple of years ago we went to a Saami Culture Centre where we got to go into a corall with thier tamest reindeer and actually get close enough to handle them, they are so soft coated and have the softest wibbly wobbly noses, beautiful animals and there were a couple of tiny babies too so small that they could duck under the lowest rail and skip about outside the corall much to the consternation of thier mums. It was such a lovely experience, I hope you all enjoy them too KIDCAT, and that DS9 loves them very much, Lyn xxx.0

CC: You are having the hardest time that anyone can have. You must be a very special person to have kept your sense of humour intact. Mrs LW is quite right, as always. All any of us have is today so make the most of every second. You know that you are surrounded by the greatest love and support from your friends here.
Only 42 cards left to write. I do wish I could just write Love from...... and stuff it in the envelope. A lot of my friends and I only have Christmas cards as a contact so I do like to write a bit of news in each one. I WILL not write one of those letters that details all the wonderful and exciting things I have done throughout the year. It would bore the pants off them. Sooooo - the Christmas card it is even if it doen't arrive until 2014.
I have the Rev's replacement coming on Saturday to look round the Manse. I'd planned on spending this week hiding things in cupboards and throwing sheets over the worst bits. Didn't factor in all the commitments I already have. Think I might be working through the night. Memo to self: be sure your procrastination will find you out.
Anyone join me in a petition to move Christmas day to Feb 14th? I could just about be ready by then I think.

Hugs CC, I think you're amazing .... xx
Monnogran - I am card-wrangling too, and the only way I can get them done is by a strict regime of doing, say, 5, then another job, then another 5, then something else etc. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam. Quite agree that Christmas cards without a bit of hand written newsy blurb are pretty pointless! Good luck with them - and everything else.....0 -
MONNAGRAN It's still your home and it's still your posessions so you don't have to hide anything from anyone for any reason pet. Look on the bright side, if your new incumbent sees the manse with all your posessions in situ, just think what a surprise they'll get at the size of it when you've moved out. I'd look on it as a nice surprise for them next summer and leave life where it currently is. Hope you haven't got writers cramp from all the cards, Lyn xxx.0
