afternoon all!
Fuddle yes its a real tree, we went to a tree farm near stokesley and chopped it down. You basically go round them all and pick one you want, they give you the saw and away you go!
We all love going and its not to busy so you can really muck around and have fun mooching through the trees. The lads took turns sawing it down and ds2 last touch and down it went. Shouting "timber!"
Its so funny watching them as stop around like lumber jacks. Oh and the tree we've picked has two heads lol The trunk split into two so in effect we have two trees on one trunk.
Perfect really as both boys were able to put a star each on the tree, as DS1 is 13, this really in a way will the last christmas so were trying to make it as special as possible.
What can i say we picked it, and ds1 said aw well it weird just like you mam, cheeky little thing.ds2 said its a monster tree hahaha
If we hadn't of picked it i doubt anyone else would have. We like odd things so the tree is perfect for us.
OH has put tinsel round the ceiling, the tree is started up as always. The cats have been playing with the tinsel. within seconds of it being up, the cats were all over it, the baubles were flying lol
Till nowhere near done for christmas, but i'm taking it one step at a time. Wwere just buying fresh the day before or so. Its our first christmas without a freezer and its deliberate!! Its mean we get to scoff a big tub of ice cream in one day :rotfl:
Cards, em , nope haven't done them either , seriously need to get them done for tomorrow.0 -
Hi mar
Do a search for ehow there are a few suggestions on there, might help.
X CC
Having a pj day today, it's cold damp and miserable. Outside.
I finished my daughters hampers yesterday, and just have some sewing to do for my niece and nephew.
Christmas cards were done last week, we do a sort of combined card newsletter,, which I do on publisher and print, then all hubby had to do was write the recipient name and then stuff them into printed envelopes .
Dec's to go up this week, but want to tidy up a bit first..
Hubby's chest infection seems to be clearing up, but he's still very fatigued. Waiting to hear if he needs more iron, so possible blood transfusion next week. He has made me promise that if he doesn't make it to Christmas I MUST still carry on as planned.... to be honest I am struggling at the moment to keep cheerful and positive..
But needs must...
okay of to make a list of jobs to see if i can get focused.
Hugs and a cuppa to those who need it. Xtoday's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

Oooh not heard of that ehow, thanks CC.
And yes, however spiritual you are and however much you know about death etc, we would not be human if it didn't touch us deeply. But you have the right attitude pet and you will cope with it, just like you've coped with everything so far. Cos in the end really what else can we do? We just get on with it, like our mothers/grandmothers/etcetc forever have always done. xxx CC
And he will be there with you, this christmas, next christmas, and all the other ones as well.0 -
Elona its complicated one side I thought were friends want me gone as I stand in the way of them doing some very dodgy stuff. The other side (head) wants me to say for the very reason I do stand in tbe way of things going very wrong.
However I cannot take the stress and strain so they will have to find a way to reign it in without me.
It's an unequal equation by the sounds of it. If one side outnumbers the other it is easy for the 'heavy' side to forward it's agenda.
This is why there is power in numbers and even the right but lone voice gets nowhere until there is a following.
Maybe the 'light' side needs to concede the battle and retain the strength for wars that it has some chance of winning.0 -
Hugs cornish0

aw lots hugs to you cc ((hugs)))
it is hard with all this going on, but try and stay positive and cheerful. Try and have the best of times NOW while your still together and have each other
Focus on the both of you now, put a nice film now and have a hot drink in front of the tv. Nothing to taxing just enjoying the moment0 -
Cornish chick,
I can't say anything that will help you. But know you are in my prayers and my thoughts.0 -
Thank you bluebag,
Mar, you brought tears to my eyes, and as I won't cry in front of hubby I got up and cleaned the kitchen so something positive....
Kez we have a 2 pints marathon planned for later after his kip. Along with pop corn and chocolate.
Ok I've made a list. Is it wrong to put down tidy kitchen then tick it straight away? Just so it looks good?today's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.
