cc its hard but you'll get through it hun, just enjoy the time with your DH rather than think ahead.
Sorry for whining about the meeting yesterday, i only spoke to OH about it and he wasn't impressed either. I just feel bad, because he obviously wanted his wife to be there as they always together but his his wife asked me to go with him so i did. At the cluster meeting 2 people from each group always go.
Oh its happened i've ran out of milk argghhhhh no tea :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -
Hope the blood transfusion helps Molly, take care.

Molly, I hope the BT goes well. I HATE needles, But would be soooo willing to donate, but cant because i'm on medication.

Love the poem, thanks - always good to hear a bit of Wendy Cope, I love her poems.
Monna - so glad you and the Rev have found somewhere lovely - hope all goes well for you.
Molly - hope all goes well today.
Princess and anyone else taking anything - it's always worth checking with the blood service as I was expecting to be told I couldn't donate last time I went as I had started taking Naproxen (painkiller) and Omeprazedole (to protect stomach from painkiller!!) for my back but as it is for an ongoing issue and I'm not awaiting further intervention and the meds are on their OK list I'm fine to donate. It just depends what it is and what it's for but the nurse there did tell me that lots of things are actually ok.
Been into town for a few bits for tomorrow - PTA are doing a Christmas Shopping evening and I'm going to have a wee stall with my felt jewellery and I've also said I'll do a pan of chilli for supper so had to get the bits for that. Just realised I forgot bags so will have to go back in tomorrow - oh well, in town anyway so no hardship.
Going to make a big pan of soup for us as well - DH has decided that he really ought to lose a bit of weight so I got the Hairy Dieters books for some inspiration (he looks rather like the short one with glasses before the diet!!) so figured it was going to be more his sort of food and hopefully he'll not find it too awful to stick too. Soup is one of their suggestions to fill up on without too many calories.
Ok - must go and get busy - take care all - hugs X0 -
Hi, popping in again
Is anyone else a bit worried about this bad snow everyone is taking about ?
I'm away for the weekend but am going to stock up on the essentials on Monday after work. If the snow doesn't happen it will all get used anyway. I would rather get it now than when they say it will be here in 24 hrs and all the shop shelves are empty in 30 minutes.
Ps I so have a winter box, but that's to cover January, not December and January.0 -
Oh no, please don't tell me snow on Saturday 23rd? It's when I move down south!? I'll have to investigate.
Monna, Monna, Monna. Yey!!! At least where you are going in only a short drive from your family. It could have been much worse. Do you think the islanders will let you look forward and upwards? I I hope so. It is sad for them but if you can look at it as being there's some other folk out there that could do with a bit Monna and rev too then maybe a smile? Be careful though, there's some dodgy people moving over your county border
I think it sounds as if the councelling service are really stretched kez. There's areas you wouldn't see me wandering after dark so I can support you on that one.
Off to go worry about the snow!0 -
Ive not seen where the snow is likely to be, just heard its likely to get silly cold next week.
I'm pretty well sorted for any bad weather, I'm low on milk and fresh fruit and veg but that will be sorted when I shop tomorrow, plenty of UHT milk and frozen veg should I need it.
I've spent all morning cleaning and sorting and rejigging, the house looks lovely now and I've just lit a smelly candle and am about to light the fire....cosy, cosy, cosy. Easy dinner this evening of egg, HM oven chips and beans, yum.
I really need a kick up the backside to get started with my Christmas HM gifts, everything is here I just need the inspiration."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
FUDDLE I've just looked at the snow forecasts for the end of November and it looks as if the south will be cold and frosty but no snow predicted, you'll be fine!!! Lyn xxx.0
