You might want to book a dentist appointment sooner rather than later. Because you don’t want to let your gums / teeth get worse.
Also, May I suggest a doctors appointment too? You might have slight depression, But after everything you have been through, Its not surprising. Also little extra amounts of sugary goodies might help with your energy levels.
Housing, Don’t worry, Remember, Your not the only one in a difficult situation at all. One thing I have learnt from this group is to always get what your entitled too. You & your family need a roof over your heads.
Why not take the little one to libraries for story times, Mother & toddler groups, Local park (Waterproofs might be required) get some leafs & do leaf painting / drawing ect.
So, Just finished with my telephone assessment and I’ve not been left with much faith tbh.
She said that because of my OCD, anxiety & depression she now has to speak to her manager to see if they can offer me with any help. If not, I well have to go back to my GP to be referred elsewhere. Great! I already knew I was a mess, But having someone tell you they might not be able to help makes you sink!
She is hoping to call me back this afternoon to let me know the outcome. I also managed to sneak a quick call before the assessment to my previous dentist to have my x-ray sent to the new one. I still cant believe that I am finally making way with my dentist. This is a huge achievement for me. They have been the bane of my life for many years, Just glad that I’ve managed to find one that is understanding to nervous clients.Future goals:

I was sat thinking last night, Just how much we (OH & I) have overcome in the past months. Its amazing really. We’re taking our life’s O/S, (Still could do with improvement) We’re tackling out debts, We’ve stopped living on credit - And dealing with our health. Pretty sure in time, This will be a longer list, However for now, We’re happy!
Anyways, I’m off now…Will be back in a bit to update about my assessment. x
Aw Princess what a really good uplifting post. It's refreshing to read about determination and positivity in the face of adversity! Well done you and I have to agree that OS living certainly is a saving grace. I've been learning to live this way for 4 years and still learning to this day! :jThere is nothing an OS mind can't fix so go you0 -
Morning toughies
Princess - you and your OH ARE doing really well - you have come a long way. Good luck with the dentist - remember the thought of going can be worse than the actual experience. Don't feel bad because your assessment identified you need some help - better to have it than not and it could make a positive difference to your health and life. I know you will need to wait and see what, if anything is on offer. Fingers crossed.
Pops - hope your nose isn't so painful now, ouch! Glad you had a good evening last night and are feeling in good spirits.
Gailey love, I also think you should prioritise a trip to the dentist and possibly the doctors for a chat if you still feel down in a few days time. You have an awful lot on your plate I know but also lots of positives too and you will come through, there will be the ups as well as the downs and with us on your side, you'll get through I just know it.
Just had a successful shop at Monsieur Tescows - parking for once was easy and got a space near the front so didn't have to risk heaving the trolley up the hilly end of the car park with my back still not fully back to normal (not that it ever is 100% tbh) Got a couple of things on offer (that I usually buy) and used a couple of vouchers (ditto)
Forgot to drop by the doctors for DHJ's prescription and have the washing maching on now as we have some sun and wind at last!! Can't keep up with laundry, starting to wonder if we will get through the winter without a tumble drier agaih - might have to resort to the launderette.
Will have a bath once the washer has stopped, hopefully have time to go to Sansberries (have a £4 off voucher burning a hole in my purseand can check my tyre pressures for free there too. Then catch GPs before school run.
Another exciting day eh? ha ha but I am feeling lighter in spirit recently - think it must be the ADs, have my review on Fri and hope the Doc will give me a repeat prescrption - can't see why not especially with my previous medical history.
DH just sent me a soppy text.... who says romance is dead huh? I am going to suggest a nice meal together asap, maybe this weekend if he is game.
Well been nice chatting, best do the dishes

SQ I don't mind being on AD's(I don't feel a failure)and if they are working fine...It may be I am back to normal and could manage without but the last time I missed a week of them I did not feel as good.
Its stopped me worrying about recent problems and I feel able to manage over Mum but again perhaps I would've anyhow. But I am certainly more positive in my outlook."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Poor old Docky just shuddered and panted and dripped saliva on his towels on the floor, he was terrified and inconsolable while the storm raged, but fine again half an hour after it stopped!!! Not nice though, but incredibly beautiful to watch the lightning, nature is so BIG isn't it? Lyn xxx.
Poor Poppy did the same. We have a special plugin to try and reduce her anxiety about fireworks and i do think it helped a little xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I too like POPS, Find my life more manageable on A/D. My OH also has a very low dose of them 10mg I think & we have managed better then recently months. I know a lot of people believe in its mind over matter & that you can over come things. But that didn’t work for us.Future goals:

Gailey, Trust me I understand fully the fear of the dentist, I recently needed sedation just for a check up. I also suffered with tooth ache for a whole year because the fear had more control of me more than the tooth ache.
The best advice is keep brushing. Also did you know that mouthwash has a natural painkiller / healer. You can get a bottle in any £ shops. Just use it when needed.
Being run down a lot can also be a sign of depression hun. I think a general chat with the gp wont hurt? Also, have a look online for a HC2 medical form. Fill one of those in you “might” be entitled too cheaper NHS treatments dentist, docs ect.Future goals:
