The weather may be appalling but the gardener has turned up as good as his word and made a start.:)Its so dark, more like night time. If you plan to do anything the lights need to be on.

It will be good to see things tidy again(even if its cost a fair bit to do)I have only been able to afford it by being very careful with the money I get.

That could change but lets deal with today. Don't ask how it happened:pI have managed to hit my nose bone with a heavy metal walking stick(and boy has it hurt):(

Its bad enough if you drop something like that on a bare foot and don't get out of the way in time.

Morning All - Dreadful night down here - thunder & lightning all evening & I got up around 3am & the lightning was still crackling about!! We had a small 'tornado' locally early on Sunday (even made the local news!) No one hurt but lots of tiles off roofs & trees down - one on top of a car. The tail of it whipped through the sailing club I belong to & did LOADS of damage but my little dinghy was parked at the end of a row as I'm a newbie & it missed it. Someone at the club took a video

Off to put some stuff up in the loft & see if I can clear out some junk that's up there - I may be a while...........................!

  • Wasn't it just SS? It was the longest thunderstorm I've known since we moved here and there were moments where the rain was actually blowing sideways down the road, you could just see it in the light from the lamp post and it was like someone using a hose on the side windows, amazing. Poor old Docky just shuddered and panted and dripped saliva on his towels on the floor, he was terrified and inconsolable while the storm raged, but fine again half an hour after it stopped!!! Not nice though, but incredibly beautiful to watch the lightning, nature is so BIG isn't it? Lyn xxx.

Mrs L - sounds like I'm not the only one who loves to watch it - we had a couple of flashes that REALLY crackled - stunning. Makes you feel very small & insignificant when you see all that power

  • Morning everyone.

Having an easy day today just pottering & attending to anything that needs doing.
I have my telephone assessment in 15 minutes and its making me feel anxious indeed. I don’t know why I still feel like this when having to explain to medical professionals. Maybe I’m worried that they’ll tell me its nothing, But alas I need to continue this journey in order to make myself better as this is one of many goals I have & want to succeed in.

Finally we have some sun! After 3 days of continuous heavy rain. The front garden is like a swamp.

I was sat thinking last night, Just how much we (OH & I) have overcome in the past months. Its amazing really. We’re taking our life’s O/S, (Still could do with improvement) We’re tackling out debts, We’ve stopped living on credit - And dealing with our health. Pretty sure in time, This will be a longer list, However for now, We’re happy!

Anyways, I’m off now…Will be back in a bit to update about my assessment. x
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy

When we first moved here one of my neighbours, who's kitchen window looks out to sea, said to me that when we have storms over the sea it's amazing to see the lightning hitting the water...
Been waiting ever since to see that :( Everytime it gets stormy looking I'm on red alert to head off down to the cliffs but we had naught but the odd rumble of thunder in five years!

Have you seen the films/photographs of lightning storms over errupting volcanoes. Truly AWESOME. Will see if I can find a linky.

I keep hoping I'll catch a storm and see waves crashing over sea walls...never have so far...Heard about the mini tornado but did not realise it was your neck of the woods silvasava

Gardener is doing a good job(turns out he can paint/decorate and do odd jobs too)so may be a good person to know in coming years...weather is no better...Sky is a bit lighter though.

Still have my soup for later too. Good for these kind of miserable days...
