Esther - its like a mild marmalade, I suppose it depends how much of each fruit you add. Mine was just like a nice fruity jelly, good for on toast as well as using with meat.
Lovely and sunny here today, but a lot colder. We had torrential rain overnight and everywhere is soggy.
Sorry about your nose Pops, hope it is feeling bette now.
Missing mog, keep thinking we will see him in his ususal places. We have decided to wait for a bit to get another pet. I really want a dog (or two), have waited years to be in the right position to have one (not out all day etc) and would love to have a pug (or two). I won't buy pups, would have to be rescue, I don't think it's right to breed puppies (like they do here in Wales, the puppy trade is awful) whilst there are dogs waiting for homes. Our local rescure demands a secure garden, but we only have the very small yard and the garden up the hill, so not sure if that counts. Mad as we are within 30 seconds of miles of footpaths, beaches and rivers. OH does not want to get another cat as we are right on the road and he would constantly worry when it was out.
Hugs for those with sore mouths, fritted pooches and dervish children!
Mrs C some of the rescues we are in touch with are a bit more realistic about about placements. Can't promise pugs, but give us a shout when you are ready!

Thanks Kate, I will bear that in mind. I do want Pugs though if I can, I love their style - they are supposed to be like little gentlemen in dog suits! There have been a few at the camp this summer and they do seem to have the most terrific personalities. I know there have been health problems through breeding to standard, but lots of breeds suffer that.
I dare not go near a rescue cente, I would would end up fulfilling my destiny as the mad woman with hundreds of cats and dogs!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
AOT, That's a very kind offer and I am sure we will meet and I will put your safety first by doing so somewhere you are in a comfort zone whether that is in Durham per chance at something like that festival, near your voluntary work or another alternative etc...even if its next year(which is not that far away)
Is it me but it doesn't seem that cold(indoors)my heating is off, TBH I am wearing little(No thermals or PJ's:rotfl::o)but feel fine, no hot water bottles for the bed etc...but fleece blankets and a decent quilt is keeping snuggly so perhaps this year I have the situation sorted. I'll find out when Winter arrives.
Maybe changing bedrooms has helped being a smaller one or perhaps I have climatised in a way to using CH less than in previous years if that can be done."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Princess.-have 2 mates who did cbt one private one to one for anxiety really helped her other group nhs for depression but not sure how much it helped. worth a try I guess especially if local but can see ow maybe daunting.
Popperwell- waited month for appointment with nice gp so hard get appointments so despite being there 8 years dont feel like know any of the gps or well by me they just go by guidelines.
Explained how bad anti ds were with me and ad no problems with temazam yet wouldent prescribe just got sleeping pills nothing for any daytime anxety and its more anxiety and stress with me than depression.
I would rather take a pill than drink whole bottle wine booze and kids dont mix cant cope with the hangovers and I dont smoke have very few vices know myself and frustrating when they dont understand.
Right now not sure being on their let talks list will help me.
Im naturally glum about situation we been in never expected hubby to lose job and life to come crashing down like it did.

Oh gaily.
I have 2 girls, eldest was sweet, helpful and quiet growing up, youngest was a nightmare, climbing , tipping all the shampoo into the Loo,, making snow with talc, drawing on walls with my makeup. Like you if she was quiet for more than a minute I would stop what ever I was doing and rush to divert what ever catastrophe was about to happen. Only time she was quiet and sat still as she got older were Disney dvd's and time team.
She was adventually diagnosed as Add. But made my life interesting
Got sheets dried on the lline today, smell so much nicer than when done in the td.
Spent the evening with mil and hubby, while they laughed at me, tryingto tangle some wool, around a hook, I managed to make an ear warmer for my first attempt at crochet, well tthat's what I am telling everyone..:rotfl:
anyways, good day to day, more memories made.
Hugs to every one. Xxxtoday's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.
Living on my memories, making new ones.

He sounds such a cutie, waving at the bin men , made me smile.
It's exhausting chasing after them, fixing the stuff they bust up and sorting out the squabbles.
They steal a whole chunk of your heart though, and your'e never the same again.0 -
Gailey(and all)
I guess the stories you tell show that many of the popular books and films that show children getting up to mischief are close to the truth:)I must have had my moments but nothing comes to mind, wish I'd asked Mum.
For the older posters here it reminded me of the comic song by comdian/actor Terry Scott called My Brother. And lots of popular films and books many have read in their childhood.
You've done well on the bargains again and if you can continue to do so that's fantastic.
I think that you make a good point again about Dr's and AD's especially when you mention you want to lose anxiety and some prescribe or don't what you believe may work for you. And you know that you don't want sleepers. Though they can work if taken correctly.
Busy day initially as the gardener may be back today and the guy from the Housing Association(don't really like him)but I think it should go ok today(I hope that it will)and the talk is about the neighbour and drains not like the last visit that upset everyone un-necessarily, at least I have the appointment with CAB next week, the option suggested on here about talking to the community policeman and still have the water company etc...perhaps even my MP but I'll take it one step at a time about the drain problem."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Can I ask whether my washing will dry on the line in full autumn sun but with temps of 11 degrees?0
