    Happy Birthday fuddle :bdaycake:

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY FUDDLE :bdaycake:

Hello everyone. It’s been very wet here since around 3.30a.m. How do I know? I’ve been awake most of the night that’s how. :sad:Am going tohave to be much more careful when am out and about as that fall on Wednesdayhas increased the pain a great deal. I will admit to being a wimp as wellthough.
Had to have argument with chemist this morning about them deliveringthe prescription I was due to collect today. They do have a delivery serviceand advertise the fact but were very reluctant even though I explained that Iwas having difficulty walking and just could not get there. Their response was –‘Couldyou not wait til you’re better to collect meds?’ Eventually I managed to get passed toanother member of staff and the delivery will come later today. :T

Princess, I’mglad to hear you got sorted at your GP’s but you should most definitely reportthe problems you had. It's a shame you are having such problems with the family. It’sdifficult I know but you need to make it clear to them that you are not theirbank. Family or not you have a right to stand up for yourself, especially inyour current position.:( Sorry if I’m interfering.

Pops, good foryou, managing to walk twice. It’s such a positive thing to do. I know I alwaysfeel better with myself when I can get a little walk in.

FairyPrincess, Ihope the pest control man has been and done his job. Years ago, when I wasliving in a very old house, I got up one morning to find dead mouse floating inthe sink (my ex-DH had left it full of water). Worse still as I did not lookjust reached for the plug to empty the sink I found the mouse by touch. :eek:Stillgives me the chills to think about it.

SavingQueen, your‘to do list’ sounds like mine. I seem to have had one problem after anotherlately and just got nothing done. Hope you manage to feel better soon.

I’m off to try some more of those physio exercises as theydo seem to help for a while.

It beggars belief, sending that boy home.

My DD and I had the following conversation this morning

"You need a coat, it's raining"
    "I'll be fine"
"you won't, it's raining, you WILL get wet"
    "I don't have a coat"
I list every coat she has
"They won't go with my outfit"
"YOur outfit won't look that great soaking wet. Take an umbrella at least"
    "i've lost it"
    "Take mine"
"is it the so and so one you bought in such and such? I don't like that one, it's got a funny handle"
"Fine, get wet, i don't really care"

    She wore a jacket :p
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Hi everyone I'm new here but have been reading a few of the os threads for a couple of weeks, hope its ok if I join in?
Its not too bad here, was raining this morning but just dull now. Made a beef stew this morning and is in the slow cooker right now will be ready for when my ds comes home from school. Need to walk down to the post office and post a couple of things I've sold on ebay, need to do a load of housework as well as haven't been feeling too good lately and have fallen behind with everything really! Now my son is back at school though I'm hoping to get back on track

    Happy birthday Fuddle :)

AOT Hope you get relief soon. Anything resembling sciatica :(

I think the idea I can walk a little easier tonight to the bus route/theatre and home again made me think it was better to cut the lunchtime concert out.

The walks were big for me and still took me ages(2/3 times longer than others would take)but like taxi drivers I remember/find short cuts and often if a path takes a long way around and there is grass which is dry I will often cut across the grass and rejoin the path further on if I am really bad. Even if I manage one way and need a ride back I have achieved something.

One of my knees of late has on occasions made a very loud noise that anyone can hear when doing certain movements.

I do believe keeping the weight off helps.

What a carry on people have sometimes over meds...we don't all have access to our own transport/friends to collect on our behalf and I assume the meds you are on prove that walking is difficult as they will include drugs associated with arthritis.

  • AOT: What a poor excuse. That's one thing i'm really luck with is that the pharmacy is fab. They often deliver our meds without fail.

Your completely right. Family or not, They shouldn't put me in a position where I feel like this. Thanks for the advice and hope you get better soon hun x

....Which brings me to my next question, Where is a good place to buy some t-shirt style bra's? I'm a non popular size which means most places that have decent priced underwear don't stock them??

Could I be very rude and ask what your unpopular size is?!

I would suggest Asda, Matalan & Primark as a starting point?

Happy birthday Fuddle, have a lovely lazy day :bdaycake:
