    Hi lil_mama,
    Jump in anytime...:)

I now quite often take a spare jerkin or a shirt etc...in a knapsack when I go out in case the weather changes and/or I sometimes find myself soaking wet because my illness means I sweat too much...luckily a lot of what I wear doesn't crease too much and I don't iron anyhow...even though I have a lovely new iron(never used)but its there just in case.:p

I'd use an umbrella but hanging on to a walking stick and an umbrella in the other hand isn't always easy...and impossible if I have been shopping unless its in the knapsack and is only a few items...

I'm debating whether to get the special buys at Aldi's of pillows and quilts for single/double bed this weekend...good value but still a fair bit to spend. If I was to add memory foam toppers I'd be spending much more.

Been having strange dreams again, worse when for a few minutes upon waking you think its really happened.:rotfl:

Asda, Tesco & Matalan all do support garments for the fuller busted lady ;) I think they do your size...I'm a 34DD and on occasion have to look in those ranges!

Princess, I seem to remember Fuddle recommending somewhere online a few (or more ...) pages back. Might have been called brastop? Maybe you could PM her, or wait till she comes along!

Pops, I would think very carefully before you buy a memory foam topper, as they can make you too hot .... I did buy a lovely soft mattress topper which was not memory foam from D*nelm, could look and see what it's called if you like?

I had a feeling that a memory topper might be too hot(even in Winter with the CH off)I can add extra blankets for that matter...Mattress topper is probably better. Thanks The Cake:)

P87 - I find @sda t-shirt bras really comfy, they're about £4 each I think. I'm the same size and although they don't always have them in store you can order online and have them delivered to your local store for free. They do a soft seam free bra too, like a cropped top. Lovely and comfy for days when you don't want the structure of underwires.

Well it's now pouring with rain here, good job too as my water butt ran out weeks ago. DH has gone back to bed, he's having a really wobbly day and keeps forgetting what he's saying mid sentence....it's infuriating for us both. Hopefully he'll feel a bit more with it later.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY FUDDLE:j

Hope you have a restful day with your crochet. What are you working on now? I am close to finish a simple granny square blanket with cheap 3 for 2 wool from H**bycraft but fancy trying attic24's ripple blanket next.

POOKY can I ask what pattern you are doing for your quilt squares? I recently dug out some small log cabin patchwork throws I made YEARS ago, mostly jumble sale fabric, and we're using them as on the sofa. Really soft and comfy and easy to wash when the cat/dog manages to get then grubby. Where do you source your fabric, if you don't mind me asking? Rarely see a jumble sale these days :(

SQ sorry you are feeling more anxious, it's horrid isn't it? The more you try to relax the worse it can be. Keeping busy works best for me. I am shattered after spending several hours prepping a bucketload of tomatoes from the allotment. All skinned, chopped and deseeded now. Half in the freezer and half bubbling away with odds and ends of onions, potatoes and peppers for soup. Still have a kilo of blackberries to deal with, plus a hefty bagful of runner beans and a bag of chard and spinach. May chuck the greens in a odds and ends soup and hopefully freeze the runners. The berries will be jammed if I have the energy.

KEZ thanks for the laughter, made me smile reading that :rotfl:

Raining steadily here and has been since just after 5.30 this morning. Had to peel our wet clothes off when we came back with the dogs and went through several old towels drying the labs. The joy of wet doggy odours!

mRSLW and anyone else who didn't sleep well, hope you are managing some catnaps today. It was so hot last night but much cooler today so hope we will all sleep better.

    POPS, enjoy your night out.

    Welcome LIL-MAMa

MAR, hope your son is feeling better. Your soaps look lovely. What do you put in them?

MONNAGRAN, trust there won't be too many ructions for you and the Rev today.

SDG, glad you are feeling better.

Hugs to anyone I have missed

    Thanks Alf's Mum,
Starting to think its time to get the slow cooker working again with what you've said. I am missing out on many different meals not that there's anything wrong with variations on salads/sandwiches and not having a warm meal.

Casseroles, soups and much more...will get my butt* back in order, its not as if preparing meals for one is time consuming...and most can be cooked in a microwave or slow cooker.

*That's about as strong my language gets...emo1.gifon any topic even when angry...

Lol, we have had had lots of 'something with salad' meals over the last few weeks. It's been too hot to be slaving over a hot stove unless I have too but I'm looking forward to 'cold weather cooking' again.

Sure was Brastop the cake. They are not as cheap as your highstreet cheapies but for non-popular sizes they can be much cheaper than specialised bigger bra stores, especially if you're not too fussed over colour and buy sale items.

I suspect you might be lucky with 40DD on the highstreet though. The larger back sizes seem to be catered for more these days. HTH

Alfsmum My crochet project is a plain pink granny blanket for my niece. I've been on with it for ages and thought I had finished but my sister wants it bigger. I've still got littlestDD's other slipper to do too  I adore the ripple... but failed miserably last time. I will succeed one day ;)
