Let's also hear it for LITTLE MISS MOMENTS brilliant stuff, huge congratulations, what an achievement!!!
Hope the kitty cat is OK and the vet can find the cause of the problem, vets bills are so high these days, but not to have had the vet ready and waiting for Docky when he got kicked by the horse the other day would have been impossible. We were so grateful to them and they were so good and prioritised him over a full waiting room, I'd have paid a dozen times more than we did, they were superb and we are very lucky to have them, Cheers Lyn xxx.0 -

I love reading Docky`s messages on here, he is such a clever boy as neither of mine can read, write or type......does Docky give private tuition at all, we have a large bag of biscuits which my two say they are more than happy to share. I am glad to hear that Docky is feeling better, pets are such a worry aren`t they.
We have torrential rain here but the temperature is still 24 degrees so it doesn't seem to be helping much.
House is quiet as eldest DD is at work experience and staying away all week and youngest has gone out to enjoy herself, I do love a quiet house but don't tell the girls otherwise they will get upset :rotfl:0 -
WOW! What wonderful exam results. Congrats Miss LD and Miss MOS and all best wishes for the future. Pats on the back for their proud mums who have been at least partly (if not mostly) responsible for such stunning results.
MOS: Go on, celebrate! Push the boat out. Have 2 beans on toast and hang the consequences.
Fuddle: you are a turnip. The Rev isn't scary. Just think 'Dibley', you couldn't possibly be scared of that!

MOS: DO NOT ON ANY ACCOUNT TAKE SPELLING TUITION FROM DOCKY.
I have personally offered to help the poor dyslexic mutt. Help that was rejected hastily and without thanks. Methinks his parents are hoping to get more benefits as they are coping with a pooch with with learning difficulties.

PS. The biscuits wouldn't be custard creams by any chance?I believe that friends are quiet angels

Hello Everyone
Well done Miss LD and Miss MOS :T What fantastic results
Elona My thoughts are with you and your DH. I hope he has a speedy recovery.
monnagran If by any chance you and the Rev end up in the Midlands, please let me know. I'm happy to provide moral support and large quantities of tea and cake. I hope it all works out for the best, but I'm sure it will
Lyn I am so glad that Docky has made a full recovery.
I am here and reading along, I'm just waiting for these beeping ADs to do something apart from making me feel shattered all the time. I'm still having all the symptoms I was before and it has now been over two weeks on them  I have to go back after I have been on them a month to see how I'm getting on and have an appointment with the practice therapist on the 18th. I'm really hoping that will help.
DH took DS2 uniform shopping on Tuesday and they came home £180 poorer  He now needs all men's clothes, his blazer is a 44 inch chest for goodness sake. DH isn't known for buying the cheapest options, so I'm hoping it will last the year.
I made the lemon curd cake and a strawberry jam version yesterday. I couldn't find my 2lb loaf tin so split it between two 1lb loaf tins and cooked them for 25 minutes. I think DH approves as he ate one of the lemon curd ones yesterday. My appetite is down, so I haven't partaken yet, but I will.
It's my birthday in 10 days and the whole family is driving me nuts asking what I want. I really don't have a clue and the pressure of them asking is really starting to upset me. If DH keeps on then I'm going to have to tell him to back off and leave me alone. It's meant to be something to look forward to, not to dread because I can't make a decision to save my life at the moment. I've sorted my sister's present thank goodness. I've had a photo I took of my nephew put onto a canvas. Mr T's instore photo shops have them at half price at the moment so it was only £15.
Dinner tonight is an experiment. It was going to be fish pie, but DS1 doesn't like that. So I'm using Mr T's value frozen fish fillets and topping them with tomato sauce and melted cheese. I'll let you know how they go down.
I think I've waffled enough for now, so much love and hugs to everyone xxxxx0 -
Disaster. The chair I was working on? Smashed it
I stood on it as a stool, just like I have done umpteen times before hand, and it cracked. Now either I have out too much weight on in these hols (true
) or I've weakened it with all the sanding. Bye bye chair. I was already thinking of ways to get the DD's a desk chair and thought about plasticote spray and upholstering the soft bits but now looks like ill be doing it for myself too.
Eldest DD has just about mastered single crochet!! She's say all afternoon doing a wonky teddies scarf, its not perfect but shes getting there! Thrilled
I've also made a blackberry crumble this afternoon.we all went out and collected a few more so washed and put straight in a crumble.
Tried my hand at dog training - he pulls crazy when on lead and the only thing I have failed at so far. He's too excitable with loads of crazy energy but also needs to incessantly hunt too. Mixed up pooch alright. Going to be a loooooooonh process!0 -
Dear fuddly one, I had a big jack russel who was terrible on a lead but walked beautifully with a chest harness, totally different dog and easy to control. Just an idea as I know how important his manners are to you. the lead clips on the top of the harness so he can be released quite quickly for a run. Mind you I am no expert as I had a pomeranian cairn cross who ate next doors rabbit and attacked any dog he could find. he once went for a huge terrier and as Hubby pulled him back he bit hubby on the thigh by mistake - god knows how. I always longed for a dog that would walk calmly next to me with no lead and one day I will have one, hopefully an Irish wolfhound.
I still think its strange that I understand every word Docky writes - baffled smiley! :rotfl:Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0
