I forgot my bio. I am young, rich, blond, and slim. I am very good, kind, patient, and I go to mass 15 times a week. I never lose my temper or get ratty, am a domestic goddess and a cordon bleu cook. ;)

  • Quick bio from me, almost 62, divorced after 25 years, married my wonderful hubby 3 years ago but we have been together 10 years, between us we have 6 children & 6 grandchildren. I usually sew, knit & crochet, but I'm slowly recovering from a trip to hospital & I only have the energy to sleep & read.

Thank you all for your warm welcome, also big thanks for the info about the Kelp, I think it must be worth a go.
Grandma247 can I ask where you bought yours from and if there is a particular 'strength' to look out for, I buy my glucosomine etc from Healthspan and seen that they do sell Kelp extract tablets, will have to wait until the end of the month though until DH gets paid, money is exceptionally tight here at the moment and with 3 lots of school uniforms/shoes/PE kits to buy it's going to be tight next month too such is life though. You have to laugh else you'd cry sometimes :D
Well just finished decorating a cake for a friends uncle who is turning 70 tomorrow and just popped my pizza dough on the windowsill to 'prove' but am paying the price now aching all over so off to have a rest and watch a Disney movie with my 2 boys, eldest has gone to make a bird box with his Grandad which is lovely he is so proud of it apparently (just spoke to my mum on the phone) he can't wait to hang it in the garden x

    Hello all,

Welcome newbies, and hugs to those who are in strife for whatever reason.

Congrats on the good news Mrs LW.

Hate to admit to being the oldest to post so far....68, been married for 43 years, 4 DDs 3DSs and five grandchildren, 3 of them on a sleepover at present. Retired civil servant, who likes to knit, crochet and cook....also like gardening, but mainly the harvesting bit.

DS3 is coming this evening to start on the demolition of a sycamore tree which has started to fall as branches rot...will make wonderful firing for the winter for both houses and means that we will not be afraid that one of the grandchildren will be maimed by a falling branch.

BBQ mooted for tomorrow afternoon, depending on weather and state of tree felling.

    Have a good weekend everybody

  • I had a cancer scare recently and this really brought my so-called 'problems' into focus. I concluded that nothing really matters in this life: not money, not clothes, not possessions, not being one of the crowd, not work, not the past.... The ONLY thing that really matters is our loved ones and enjoying every moment we have with them.

    I cannot agree more SPC...

I always knew that's how I felt all of my life and now even more so and I know what I have lost, some joy exists but its never going to be the same.
