Lyn that's so funny!!! when we had mr ben, he used to find the smallest gap in the fence and escape and run down the lane towards the farm. I use to drive down the road and he would appear from the side and then I would open the passenger door, he would leap in and sit in the passenger seat for the trip home. We did this every day at some point even though he had 2 walks on a lead. When he got home, he waited for a treat and then went and had a nap in his bed. I miss those magical days.

My bio - Aged 46 years and retired Midwife / Occupational Therapist (ill health) which I miss dreadfully - I worked for the NHS since I was 18 years old. Have ongoing health issues that mean I am often bed bound so spend a lot of time on MSE - I am psyching myself up as I am going into the National Hospital for Neurology on September 1st for an op and am very frightened.
I have a constant companion (and I mean she never really leaves my side) in Molly Dog and my lovely husband has a loving Poppy Dog. I have four children aged 17 to 22. My DD (21) is off to uni this year (I will really miss her) and my youngest son is also very poorly atm:(. My eldest son works very hard but has debts and my second son is a dream - very kind and very MSE. My husband is our rock and he spends a lot of time driving us to appointments and also works in a stressful job as well as doing the majority of the cooking and washing.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Hi everyone Oh Mardatha and Lyn you have made me laugh today and I needed cheering up so thank you both. My dh has loved the story of Docky getting on the bus
Yes Mardatha I too am slim blonde domestic goddess too
yeah right
I just feel so at home here and it is so lovely to see many new faces as well. I would like to say a very warm welcome to you all.
Lots of washing out today and hopefully it will dry okay, so I can get out the iron and get that tackled later tonight. Dh is cooking dinner tonight and washing the dishes etc. so It is a wee break for me. He is back to work again in the morning (shift work)
I am still waiting on the results of my C.T scan which I had about 4 weeks ago. My dh received biopsy results which has thankfully come back clear. It has been one thing after another lately, isn't that often the way of things? For so many of us. My d granny used to say if you had good health you had wealth.
We had bought tickets for a Blues night for last night and we were glad to get out for a while to help take our minds off the worrying. We enjoyed the night so much, brilliant band for only £10 each. We are both Blues fans and don't really go out much socially.
I am knitting a scarf for myself at the moment but my fabric came today which I had ordered online and I am going to make four cushions for the living roomThat will be enjoyable for me tomorrow and Sunday. Hope you all have a good weekend and Pops I do hope you are over your fall soon and feel better again. Take care of yourself Margaret
Do a little kindness every day.;)0 -
MOLLY hope that all goes well with your hospital visit in September, it's always worse in the waiting and never so bad in the doing isn't it? I'm sure all will be well and you'll be able to post us how you got on feeling much happier and not scared any longer. Talk to us if you need to, we're always around and if you need cheering up on dark days we're whacky enough to make you smile, yes? Look after yourself, we're here if you need us, Cheers Lyn xxx.0
