MaryB that was my thought too! Not sure why they do it Nutty, but thieves are a species I'll never understand.
Thanks for that link Grandma, I'll give it a serious look over the weekend.
Elona, I'm going to give that a go, thanks. Just need to get a bit of soft fabric at the weekend and could maybe even sew up a simple cover for it.
You are all as always a font of knowledge!Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Interesting how many of us have these particular allergies. I think the manufacturers are missing a trick here. Personally I can only wear Mr T's shorts as knickers, stuff a hankie under my bra where stretchy stuff meets skin and have to be fairly careful with sock tops.

Waves hello from 5 OS pleasures thread!
softstuff it looks like M&S do latex and nickel free undies and they do deliver to Australia. It's usually free postage on orders over £30 , I usually get mine from there and only takes 5 days or so for delivery.0 -
Hi everyone
So glad your biopsy results were ok nutty, phew but sorry about the ibs. Lovely surprise for your OH, bet he will be thrilled to bits!
Busy couple of days, helping in school, whole day cleaning and tidying, met a friend for a cuppa (well 2 pots of tea each!) in a department store restaurant - lots of great chatting and had friends' kids over as a favour. Plus of course the usual meals/dishes/laundry/childcare merry-go-rounds.
Also did 2 separate Allydays shops already and another voucher for next week - I am stocking up and then trying not to buy for as long as possible (other than essential fresh bits) plus bought a few non food bits - mats, microwave cover, silicone/cotton oven gloves as mine are all too thin now (ouch) and something else I forget now but all super exciting household items.
An hour to hang laundry, tidy round and odds and ends and then off to a friends for lunch.... 3 hours of bliss with a couple of friends until school run..... said friend makes wonderful cakes especially Vicky Sandwich...... here's hoping.......
best get cracking again, hugs all round, help yourself....0 -

Just wanted to share some good news/big sigh of relief re DS8. He had a couple of really bad experiences in swimming classes a couple of years back and the last attempt (3rd different class/pool) he couldn't even get in the water, he just stood and shook violently.
Well he has been swimming with us since (and ok) and today had his 1st swimming lesson with his school classmates (compulsory from year 3) and he was absolutely fine. I have worried about this for such a long time and on tenterhooks all day worried he would have to be "rescued" from the pool by the teacher again. Kids - they never fail to surprise you. So proud of my son for conquering his fear.
Enjoy your break shanks.... if you do enough chilling and catching up with friends.... then maybe you will get enough mojo to sort the house out!0 -
So pleased for DS Saving Queen - I remember him having bad experiences and am so relieved he has managed to get past that.
Must be a swimming day as Miss Stilty got her Aquaskills 1 in her hydro session this morning. For it she had to swim 5 metres (with her bands on) and she made it even if she wins the record for the longest time ever taken - her 'technique' looks more like running through the water, yes vertically!!, so it's amazing she makes any forward motion at all. She is slowly getting the hang of letting her bottom float up a bit but as soon as she concentrates again down it goes - I'm hoping that the longer she keeps swimming the more often she will forget to concentrate and so the more often her bottom will float up all of it's own accord. Master stilty has the opposite problem - we were trying to get him to stand in the shallow end so we could do some stretches but every time we get his feet down his bottom floats straight back up again.
It's been a long week - got nice dinner in the oven for after I've had a chat on the phone with a friend in a few minutes. Usual busy weekend with riding tomorrow and Miss Stilty's conference outfit buying shopping expedition on Sunday. Looking forward to a nice mummy daughter, grandma day though, it's nice when it's all girls together.
Just done a Westin gourmet order as the freezers are looking a little low and added another 5kg of chicken for free from the mad amount of loyalty points I got at Christmas. Got a monumental amount of good meat arriving for a not too scary amount of money.
Catch you all later X0
