Kitty Condolences to you and your family on such sad news.
B]Nursemaggie[/B] DGD is 21 on Saturday tooWe've always taken her to the theatre for her birthday. Holiday on Ice until she was about 15 & then the London shows. This year she's decided she wants me to take her shopping  Think is going to cost me.......!
Squiggly congratulations on the new job :T
Mrs l DH has been chain sawing logs for the stash. Through Streetlife I found a lady who keeps chickens & wants the sawdust (more like woodchip) & has given us eggs in exchange!!
Have a good day everyoneSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Kittie - my sincere condolences to you and your loved ones.0

We had that arrangement with a german lady who lives up the road when we kept chickens. She has a big german woodburning boiler for heating and processed her own wood then gave us all the sawdust/chips rather than have to throw it away. It's what should happen in all areas of life isn't it, finding a good use for things rather than just dumping then and usually your not useful things are someone elses useful things.0

Hello everyone
welcome squiggly and congrats on new job
"(the leak is in the pie between the meter and the cooker)"
Gosh that must have been some pie ivyleaf :rotfl:
sorry my sense of humour is.... well.... seriously though glad you are both ok and keeping warm in the hotel.
I recently changed our broadband/TV supplier - never done that before!! so was without internet for a little while. Surprised myself with being able to set up the new router etc and change the tablets and games console myself without having to consult DH (bit of a technophobe but trying to work on it)
Also got cheaper car insurance - best deal from the same company so phoned up to cancel and then bought back online, hopefully getting £20 cashback too. Insurance guy admitted he couldn't match the online quote though did drop it but not enough for my liking!
Been doing a lot of decluttering and sorting, really in the mood. Unfortunately there is a lot more to do but determined to keep at it. Our whole house needs a big declutter, reorganise, spring clean and decorate!!! Eating the elephant one chuck at a time!
Have rearranged our hall space to better use but it meant moving the cat bowls and old boys are not impressed at all. Don't like changing their habits but we haven't a lot of space to play with and want to make the most of what we do have. Plenty of treats in the new spot has helped though!
Kids have been great, just happy to play indoors, currently playing games with a balloon and arm wrestling, DS8 is being thrashed but refuses to give up! Today however we have glorious sunshine and need to get some fresh air. Boys want to play football. Football = MUD. Off out soon - wish me luck!0 -
SQ Do you know, I didn't notice that typo until re-reading my post just now and then it leapt out at me :rotfl: I've corrected it now, shame really as it was quite funny!
We're back from the hotel for the day, as it's sunny and our living room faces south so the sun is streaming through the window atmand I've got a load of washing in the machine. It all feels quite bizarre, being at a hotel with people who are here on business or visiting London for a holiday, while we just live up the road! I'm nice and warm apart from my nose!
No Maggie, not exactly pampering but wow the bed's comfy! The hotel only opened a few weeks ago, so nice new bed.
Kittie I'm so sorry to hear the news xx sending you ((HUGS)) i haven't read your post on the SHTF thread yet.0 -
