I guess there are some busy because of half term but I would think it is mainly the less people post the less there is to say.

IvyLeaf am very amused at the thought of Premier Inn as being pampering as most budget hotels are basic and boring. I would prefer a B&B.

Despite me pointing out we are mother and son and would like separate rooms Premier Inn always offer us not just a double room, but a double bed, take it or leave it. The price is far from basic.

Wish I could go out without gloves Lyn. On the contrary I feel I could do with some on now, hands are freezing feet too the heating is still not coping with the weather.

Forgot got something to look forward to this week. DS is 21 on Saturday and it is Chinese New Year so we are going to Manchester China Town Thursday and Sunday. Hoping it will be as good as it used to be in Singapore when we were there. I would like to go out to dinner Saturday night but not sure DS will go.

    Hi ...
So spent Monday cutting trees up then moving into the right place to collect Friday ..lots of trees ...only brought one load back with us ,so deal with hubbie this morning was he chainsawed and chopped then refilled log store when I baked ,cheese and apple soda bread, made two soups, banana cake ,cheese scones, twinkes biscuits.. also cleaned out freezer in garage ,so need to find a recipe for a saddle of venison and also a leg of venison too, think they will take at least 24 hours more to defrost ...cooked 2lots of ribs for there tea tonight ....have so much dead stuff in that freezer it looks like an old school butchers shop ,rabbits, duck, pheasants, venison ,woodpigon?,...have to laugh really as other freezer has lots of veggie stuff ...me and hubbie are a very odd couple :rotfl:

Hopefully made enough snack foods for the kids to last till tomorrow night ,they seam to want feed every one an a half hours ..even with proper meals ...don't know wear they put it all ,must be on a growth spurt as they are getting taller and both are stick thin ..not that dd(12 nearly 13) would believe anyone who told her that

Lazy day planed for Wednesday,dh will be working away for 1 overnight stay ,so may have a movie night with kids and dogs

Ran again on Monday so will Have to run tomorrow at some point ,so far so good ,can just about manage to walk the next day lol:T

Well better try and get some sleep ,most I seam to get this these days is about 3 or 4 hours ....

Hi reading along but nothing interesting to add. Hope everyone is well xx
  • Morning... Mind if I sidle in and say hello? I did post a few weeks ago with all good intentions of it being regular, then that went straight out the window! However, I read about all your lives daily (sound like a stalker now). Also used to be a regular on the daily threads though seem to have lost that too.

Sitting in bed watching the most stunning pinky/red skies as the sun comes up, hope it's going to be another beautiful day. I have a busy job (and was offered a new one yesterday - a proper "grown-up" one - which will be a significant promotion & payrise - and the scary side of a lot more responsibility & accountability) but am very much a homebody and love OS. The new job will mean I can afford the lovely new kitchen I have been planning recently too :)

Congratulations on the new job Squiggly!
Busy day here. The humungous rabbit shed and run is coming down, so I need to catch the rabbits. A friend is looking after them for me till we can get the shed up in the new house. I am slowly getting there with the packing and the children are being mostly helpful, although I feel very guilty that it's a rubbish half term for them, haven't had the time to take them anywhere. Still, they get a new house at the end of it, which they are excited about at least.
