Hello everyone,
What a lot of good news! Brilliant!!!
Go fuddle, Mr Possession and Little Miss Stilty!
Glad you are both getting back to normal Camelot and nutty. Don'tgo mad though until you ae 100%.
You have been busy Stilty.
Happy Birthday Master Zebra, a whole year old wow!
I had a lovely day out with friends shopping. One friend is a spendy friend, the other more like me (though she doesn't know the half of my OS ways) I was tempted by one thing that both friends bought that would be very useful but I didn't succumb - I am sticking to our saving for important house stuff plan. We oohed and aaahed over cushions, lighting and all manner of nice things. My spends were stuff like soda crystals and loo rolls, cheapest I've come across, a slotted spoon and similar. I am definitely going back again on my own so I can look again especially for staples rather than extras. Shops like B&Ms and The Range that we don't have in our town or the next town. The savings I made in purchases paid for part of my lunch, one car taken and no parking so pretty thrifty. We are going back together as well. One day out and I feel so much lighter and happier
right dishes and laundry awair, small snag to being out all day but do you know I feel more energetic and don't mind at all0 -
SQ what a lovely day out. It is nice to have a browsing day, and the odd little thing bought that is useful is ok. Glad you are feeling better and had a nice cheap lunch out x

Can you get Joseph & Joseph in Australia? They do a 2 sided peeler. One side is julienne and that will do courgettes. I have not tried carrots, sounds lovely with a peanut sauce.
I haven't seen that brand here, but I've certainly seen julienne cutters. The longer spaghetti for some reason appealed more, especially so now you've mentioned peanut sauce!
Happy birthday to Zebra! Boy that's flown by hasn't it?
Hubby has dealt with a veritable mountain of new house/mortgage related paperwork. Now it's the waiting game to see if it's all present and correct for them. I am getting very stressed regardless, it doesn't matter if I shouldn't be. To think that in less than a couple of weeks we could have a new house.... well, frankly I could vomitNobody ever accused me of being sane and rational though.
How nice of you Nutty about the voucher, it's no small saving for that lady and would have made a real difference.
Congrats to your OH Possession, wonderful news. Chocolate is exceedingly celebratory.
And I think little miss Stilty deserves a new outfit for her conference debut, you must be so proud.
Glad you had a lovely day out SQ, sounds like you got just what you needed. I had an evening out with a friend last night, I may have had a fair bit to drink, but frankly feel better for it. I might not when I adjust the grocery budget today to accommodate what I overspent last night, but ho hum :rotfl:Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Yay miss stilty!!!!! You are such an amazing little girl! Massive round of applause and we are so proud. Stilty can I be really and ask you to say good luck and well done. Told ds2 and he said ohhh she's a needs a big clap mammy!
Sq lovely day out, it really does you the world of good just getting out and having a wander. We go to the range sometimes with OH its good for household. Bm is right next door and discount store so we flick between them.
Happy birthday zebra
Take it easy nutty, ivy and Maggie
Fuddle I hope someone was with you while disciplined them, its just they can twist words and say you were being unfair and malicious. Especially considering the behalf was directed at you.
Been dragging myself into creating again, so started knitting again. Trying to keep myself distracted. Now i have a mental health caseworker who is lovely and really nice. She is referring me to dbt, med review and next week she coming to visit us at home. Scary times but at least some thing is happening.
Forcing myself to visit dad tomorrow, love him to bits but my low mood makes it really hard to cope. We'll probably watch TV together and sort out some cupboards together. Roll on 3pm and no school0 -
Aww Kez - DS2 just made me cry! We are proud fit to burst of her, just saying to hubby how amazing it is that you guys on here who have never met Miss Stilty in person really seem to 'get' her when our friends (outside the disability/SEN world) and DH's family have so little understanding of our brilliant little lady and her slightly off the wall (in character as well as frighteningly literally sometimes!!) little brother. Ok so there are lots of things that Miss Stilty is doing in her own time, however her attitude to life and her perception of the world around her is so mature, she is the first to pick up on anyone else's worries or hurts and she just works so bloody hard at everything she does.
I'm sure grandma can be convinced to buy her something smart and gorgeous and terribly extravagant from a shop that mummy usually says is too expensive! Mind you I'm going to need to do a bit of power dressing myself to have the confidence to stand up and speak - specially since there will be a few people I know in the workshop (all the various people that support Miss Stilty who I have spoken to have all said the must be at her workshop because they are so proud of her, but makes it more scary for me!)
Master Stilty is doing his own fab things too - it sounds terribly low key next to his big sisters potential fame (lol) but he is actually starting to respond to instructions!!! So we will say ... it's time for tea can you come down stairs please and 10 minutes later he'll appear at the bottom of the stairs, last night after his bath I asked him to go into his bedroom (he did) and lie down (he did) and then swap his milk from hand to hand while I did his sleeves (he did) and then get into bed (and he did!!!!) It may not sound like a big deal to many but for us it is a major breakthrough, Little Master Stilty is fab and lovely and does the best hugs in the world however he has never in his entire life done anything he has been asked to do up until the last month or so, in fact he has gone out of his way to do what he has been asked not to do even if what he has been asked to do is a good thing like 'sit and drink your milk' (he loves milk - 2/2.5 pints a day love). So we finally feel like we are making some progress, we are also starting to get the occasional word and quite a lot of signs - Little Miss Stilty helps us to translate when we can't quite understand what he is signing - it's so sweet.
Ok - I'll quit bragging about my amazing kids now -
catch you all later - hugs X0 -
Stilty brag away ,both kids sound amazing :T
Came home from work tonight to find little dog had managed to chew her way through the cable of my hairdryer ....:( so had to go out to get a new one ,did have to laugh though as 12 year old dd said " ahh please get one quick I NEED it for tomorrow night before I go to youth club " now this is a very small club that about 10 kids go to ,wonder who she is trying to impress:rotfl:
Eldest dd and little legs came round tonight ,she had to print off flight tickets ...5 star hotel plus travel paid for by sil boss for a week ,she is so looking forward to it ,they go next week .....little legs is in to everything ,our poor old cat is her new target ,the mischievous look on her face as she was crawling towards her ...
Better go to bed early start in the morning ,..night all x£223/ £250 GC0 -
Some lovely news on here today from several people :T :T0
-
Stilty they are both doing so well!
Burtha I can relate my DD would be the same.
Well, DS has an Inset day today and has a friend over for a sleepover as it's his birthday tomorrow (he turns into a teenager over night!). Said boy has only been here 20 mins and I've already been told I should have a Jaguar because the car doors close more easily (!), moaned at that he's sleeping on the floor (on a mattress!) and told about 20 different things that all dogs like (my dog doesn't) or all dogs should be able to do (my dog can't). He's here until 9.20 tomorrow morning but he may not survive the night.0
