I'm liking Dorset Apple Cake recipe but I'll do the rock buns as well for packed lunches. Actually could do with using the carrots up, carrot cookies too! How long will they last in a cake tin do you think?

The raspberry canes have the teeniest tiniest buds appearing. Very excited about them! I would love to meet for a chat and a Town exploration (am I pushing my luck ) but I can't meet till weekend 21st Feb though as got on call phone next week and we're off on a little Cornwall jolliday at half term.

21st sounds good to me, let me know if you are able to make it and what time would be convenient to meet up and I'd be very happy to show you round the town. Carrot cookies should be OK for 5 days in a cake tin, I've never been able to say for sure though as they seem to disappear long before that!!!

Hi all , It feels as if ive been away from the OS thread for a month but actually its 5 days , had such a busy week , my DIL has been having contractions for abouyt 5 days , she was sent to hospital twice , kept inb , then the contractions stopped, then her waters starting to break , then stop, then leaks then stops .....overt and over again.....

Then she finally had contrations that wouldt stop and more water leaks , cut very long story short after 134 hours of very painful contractions she had Kitty May on 30.01.15 @ 5 am with a full head of beautiful auburn hair.......:j:j after having 4 boys she is very welcome into our family......So as I said I would be present at the birth I was sort of up and down hospital with a 56 mile round trip is no joke.........So pleased ...Obviously I havent been on here and have no idea whats being doing , but will catch up after ive caught up with so many lost hours of sleep........Sheila.....:D

Long day today, my back seems to manage to find new depths of pain as each week passes, had to visit my parents as my dad ha a birthday this week, my mum gave Ds10 says which sent him hyper which she knows, but then he managed to mangle his glasses so we were able to make a quick getaway, which was a blessed relief.

Well I must say after moaning about him said child was a pretty good sleepover guest in that they went to bed when I asked them to and went straight to sleep! You can tell they aren't girls!

possession so glad he wasnt a nightmare all night, we had one who upped and left during the night without telling us, was scary realising we had lost one - I always slept downstairs afterwards to make sure I knew what was going on.

OMG Kidcat I shall be paranoid forever now!
DD was at a sleepover last night and her friend (who is 10) has 3 older brothers. There were 5 girls sleeping over and the boys didn't get back until after they'd gone to bed but apparently brought their girlfriends and friends back with them, and she ended up having 12 sleeping over. I must say the mum was a great deal more calm about it than I would have been!
