kidcat - hope it all goes well at school today. Sounds like you have already made up your mind and for good, positive and sensible reasons. go kidcat!

hope the birth cert is ok ivyleaf.

I have a poorly DS8 off today, burning up, sore throat, cough and exhaustion. Now I know why he didn't want to come out for lunch yesterday. Cats are very happy to have a warm soft lump in the form of a boy to snuggle up with. So no back to gym for me today but I will go as soon as the opportunity arises. I am going to pack my gym bag ready. I have tons to do indoors so a day at home is fine.

    Happy Monday to you all

  • Well we had a fab time at swimming. The session had floats, balls etc out and I took diving sticks and all the boys had great fun. The water was actually warm, wasn't expecting that and felt so relaxed when we got out.

Got persuaded into having lunch out. I really wanted to go but trying to save so in two minds. In the end I decided to go for it as we have so many weekends of seeing nobody and spending nothing. DS8 wanted to go home so I dropped him back to stay with daddy and took DS10 with us. It was a Chinese buffet restaurant with the most amazing choice of food including lots of tiny desserts, different fruit and even a chocolate fountain.

Sounds like BLC and Izumi to me!!!

No it wasn't the above actually but I had to have a nose at the websites and they both look great! Bit further from us but I fancy going there one day. Do you live in that area if you don't mind me asking?

SQ, the words "Chinese Buffet" are frankly a description of my idea of heaven :o. Not something you get over here and something I do miss.

Best of luck with the school meeting Kidcat.

Feel as though I'm up to my ears in it here, sorting out things ready for moving, so sorry if I miss things, I'm jumping in here when I can.

    Hello everyone :)

I have been reading along, but my black dog has been sitting firmly on my chest and growling at me, so I haven't felt my best recently. It seems to be starting to lift now thank goodness.

I hope everything is fixed asap fuddle

    Congratulations Shelia :)

I hope today goes as well as possible kidcat We are all thinking of you.

Softstuff Congratulations on the new house and the best of luck with the move :)

Lots of hugs and congrats to everyone and apologises to people I missed.

DS2 spent last night being sick, so he is tucked up in bed watching Anime. He has kept some toast and squash down, so I am really hoping that it was a one off thing. I'm shattered this morning as I slept with one ear open. Not that he needs me to do anything when he is sick, but Mom instincts die hard.
I'm in work this afternoon so need to wake up.

Things are pottering along here as normal. Although my nephew is coming to stay for the weekend for the first time on Saturday. He is nearly 4 and keeps asking to come to our house. His Mom and Dad are desperate for a break, so we are going to give it a try. I have train tracks, books, crayons, paper and lego on standby and museums with rockets and dinosaurs nearby. I'll report back if we survive. It's been a long time since we had toddlers running around the house.

    Take care everyone xxxx

I'm glad you had such a nice weekend SQ and I hope you son feels better very soon x

Hi SDG, sorry to hear about your black dog. I have one too, mine is more small puppy sized at the mo thankfully. If you fancy a chat you are welcome to PM me.

Thanks, DS seems a bit better, I'd say 50/50 for school tomorrow. Hope yours feels better soon.

    Hi. Remember me?

Just had the most wonderful week with our friend who was given just months to live 4 years ago. It has been a riotous time, I ache with laughing. She was entranced with the sales and cheap shops we took her to, (we know what floats her boat.) She went home having done all her Christmas shopping for next Christmas. I know she does it in case she is not here by then but no-one could have made it so much fun.

I have just had a hilarious photo of Mia who had been given a pair of fairy wings. She is wearing the said wings and throwing a huge tantrum because she can't actually fly in them.

Two things happened this week. The good thing was finding that our garden has two or three huge drifts of snowdrops. The other thing was receiving our first whole quarter's gas bill. Suffice it to say that when we had finished swooning the phone was red hot and blistering. I am sitting at my computer dressed in all my usual clothes plus large cosy dressing gown and fluffy snow boots.

When I have a few hours to spare I will read back through and find out what you have all been up to.

    Nice to be back.

I believe that friends are quiet angels

    That sounds lovely Monnogran.
SDG hope you're feeling a bit better. You can always offload here, you don't need to stay away if you don't want to.

Well we have packed about as much as we can without it getting really inconvenient now. Still no date though. Sold some more stuff today including a large Trofast unit, and took down DS's cabin bed so it's feeling a bit more spacious but that's rather offset by there being boxes everywhere.

of course we remember you monna!! sounds a hoot of a week and well deserved by all of you. Photo of Mia sounds priceless! OUCH to the gas bill.

Possession you are super organised. Your date won't be long, seems ages when you are waiting though.

Poor DS was worse at bedtime than he was this morning. I sang him to sleep.... well me and some of that sickly kids medicine. Have a feeling I will have to cancel my volunteering session tomorrow :(
