A very Happy Birthday to Zebra child Mrs LW, hope you manage to see him this evening.

Well, first day back after the flu thingy, feeling very tired now and am giving the hospice a miss this evening. Really must try to tackle some ironing but there's nothing I need in the pile so may just leave it!

Going to see if there is anything I can get to use the Ald! voucher I have left from last week, things like passata and tinned toms will come in handy at some point. May even buy a bottle of their good gin to put away for a pressie for next christmas just to make it up to the £40.

Thanks for thinking of me Ivyleaf - yes, just a mad busy week with 3 full days of forum work - 1 steering meeting, 1 planning meeting and a consultation! I have hurty brain ache now so looking forward to our respite time this evening. Going to the pub for a burger - yum


Little Miss Stilty has been offered a very exciting opportunity - to 'run' a workshop (with mummy's help of course) at a conference about alternative communication about her story and her journey with alternative communication in its various forms as she uses a total communication approach combining vocalisations, signing and high tech device. Pretty impressive for one who won't be 6 until a week after the conference is scheduled for - she has informed me that she will need to go shopping with mummy AND grandma for a new outfit. Little Miss S is definitely not MSE! She is a young lady of expensive tastes (but worth it! lol)

Just back from the Hospital managed to get through everything in reasonable time to home much earlier before transport go off.

Nice to read so much good news on here at long last. Little miss stilty, you are totally amazing. A true credit to your mum and dads tireless work at giving you as many opportunities as possible. Determination by the bucket full.


My DD is tired out tonight, she is trying to complete all her work at collage by end of may. OH is still at work and wont be home until 7pm. He is helping out another driver, this new job is lots better. He is going to take his cpc test soon, it costs about £300 but it means he can be paid 75 a week more. He received his redundancy pay last week so I see it as a good investment.
