Responsible adults shouldn't play games with young peoples minds and lives and certainly NOT to make themselves look better in an assessment. These youngsters are real live persons in their own right and not an inconvenient trouble to be manipulated and put aside to facilitate that assessment, your little one deserves far better than that Kidcat!!!

Lyn you are not moaning we have all been there and know what it is like. I think I would have been tempted to sack them by now.

Grrrrrrrrr re that school kidcat. How dare they behave like that to suit their own needs? I'm not sure I would have as much patience as you with them. Is that where you are a governor?

Well DS10 is better but still not fab so kept him off all day. I reckon he will fine for tomorrow though. They have swimming and sports so he will need to be fighting fit or sit them out doing boring stuff on his own (so he says and he think he is probably right)

I found cake.... and ate it . Twas choc swiss roll meant to have choc icing on for kids at Xmas and it was forgotten. Not part of the healthier lifestyle plan but just not in the mood today. DS10 has had some, DS8 can have some later and there should (in theory) be some left for DH too.

Dgs invited himself for the night but had developed nsty cold whilst at school so we had 4 am cuddles after he found the loo in the dark - that boy has talent, eventually he went back to sleep in grandads other bed. I on the other hand didnt! so feel like a damp dishcloth ( homemade of course) but better me than his Mummy and Daddy who cannot have a grndma nap when they feel like it. My £15 suite had an even better bonus than a. the price b. the comfort c. scotchgard - I can nap beautifully on it for upto 2 hours. :rotfl:
I made twinks hobknobs and roasted new potatoes this afternoon and knitted couple of little pumpkins for a friends autumn wedding.

Oh Kidcat, DS should have been removed before the assessment to do something more suitable. Horrible when children are set up to fail, please go and have words with HT, send a letter/email and copy in the Director of Education (or whoever is in total charge). I hope you find a solution soon.

Mrs LW, what a horrible time you are having with the builders. How about a site meeting (we'll all come!) and you can let them know that you will be withholding payment! Hope it all comes good soon.

DD is much better, she has had some soup (a certain well known brand of tomato) which is her favourite comfort food. Hope it doesn't come my way.

The snow is gradually melting and we are due to have heavy rain tomorrow, gosh I love British winters!

So do I Possession I have been thinking for a long time I would like to take all of the staff in that school and put them over my knee and give them all a good hiding. They are all intelligent adults and should know better. They are deliberately setting out to psychologically damage Kidcat's DS10.

I feel bad just watching it happen. He has enough problems already without the school making things worse.

I just got an e-mail about my £30 cash back for joining the Cheap Energy club. It will go into my account in the next two days. They have been really helpful.

NPower on the other hand are refusing to hand my gas account over. They look like they could end up in court.

I have also been offered a place in sheltered housing. Got to decide if it is best for DS. It would be a good idea when he spends his year in Germany on his degree course especially as he says if he picks up German well and can get a job he may stay. I don't blame him his prospects seem better and he has a few German friends. Even a German Russian friend. I get told to go away he is taking in Russian. He finds that quite hard.

Kidcat - that really is not on of school, it reminds me of that Simpsons episode where they Bart/Nelson etc all off a 'school expedition' when there was an inspection. I would be making some serious waves. Did they follow the proper channels for the exclusion? It escapes my brain at the moment, but I know I have seen evidence of children with SEN being excluded illegally. Give me a shout if there is anything I can do to help.


Finally have a date for the funeral - 2 weeks tomorrow - so still a way to wait, but at least we can sort things out now. Going to have to go down the evening before as convoy setting off at 10.45, which would mean a set off time of 5.30 am (and either sleeping on an airbed downstairs so my parents could have our bed or my parents setting off before 4 am to get to us to look after the kids).


Its our respite hours tonight so off out for dinner, I put a touch of makeup on as I look tired and it reminded me I need to get a waterproof mascara!

In a bit of limbo here thanks to the weather (drastic rain, can't oil the deck or do the outdoor furniture). So have baked some cupcakes, will be ranger rolling underwear and plan to go out for lunch with a friend.
