Morning all, only just tho. Have lots to tell you all. Mum had to go to the hospital Friday to see the cardio consultant, they have changed her meds and fingers crossed she is getting back to normal. Took her dog to the vets for a check up in the evening too and she is doing great. She has nice teeth now and is eating better and has started to gain weight. She also has a full fur coat at last.
My appointment with the colonoscopy dept went ok ish..... I has one of the symtoms for bowel cancer so as an emergency I am going in on Saturday. So that means a long day for OH at the hospital. He did a minor op and had a look but said he thinks its further down..... not very keen but must be done. I am in constant pain and its sore all the time.
Last night I took puppy to socialising and training classes and he made a friend. She is called bella. Her human owner is meeting us next week there!!! Was some nice people there and there were very understanding as buddie has been attacked by another dog, so he is rather scared of everyone. Fingers crossed he will be ok. A big thankyou to the vet who arranged it for us.
Yesterday OH received his redundancy information, it means the money should be in the bank by Friday. It will all go into the saving account as it is money we haven't accounted for. It is our rainy day fund. His new job is going well, he got paid his first wage on Friday so he was happy. On emergency tax but that should be sorted soon. Out of all the people he knows in the depot he was at he is one of only a few who have found permanent work. I thank my lucky stars we have both got jobs. He loves his new job but I am debating if I will stay where I am. Things are rather different now, and I honestly cant see myself agreeing in some of the ways they want us to get people to spend more at gambling.
I am trying to catch up, but I do remember belated birthday wishes. Take care everyone xBSC member 137

Hi Nutty good luck with everything. I thought your mum probably needed her medication sorting out. Hope she will be OK
I don't blame you wanting to change your job especially as you also have your health to consider. Just take your time and think of your health first.
I hope everything goes OK we will all be with you all the way.0 -
Hi everyone,
A lot going on for you and your family nutty. At least you won't have long to wait for your appointment. I know a couple of people who had symptoms and turned out to be nothing to worry about. My dad who is a good 3 decades older than you did have bowel cancer a few years ago and is still going strong for someone approaching 80. Having your OH there with you will make all the difference, hugs to you honey.
I did my 2nd volunteering session in school nursery today and didn't feel at all nervous. I am learning the children's names, 2 newbies and a potential newbie today as well and getting to know some of their personalities. Fond of them already, a couple are hilariously funny and sweet because they are unaware of it.
Did a little shop on the way back and stuck to the list, not naughty treats or cheeky extras. Then had a late lunch - chicken soup followed by 2 cups of hot tea (and a big slice of stollen shhhh). Spent a lot of time outdoors with the children and was frozen when I got home so needed warming up. Was going to try and fit into another shop via school but decided against. Just time to tidy round anyway before school run.0 -
Hail toughies.
Brother, it's cold here! I've had to up the heating today as we had visitors this morning and I didn't feel that I could offer to share my blanket with them.
Glad your mouth is more comfortable Nursemaggie. Thank you for the info about TCP. Honestly, I sometimes wonder how I've survived all these decades. I've been dabbing TCP on mouth ulcers for at least 60 years with absolutely no idea that I was putting my health at risk. Not that I have had many ulcers - perhaps that's a good thing.
Nutty: You are having a time of it! Now that your DH is happy in his new job perhaps you can reassess your own employment. It must be hard to have to do things that make you feel uncomfortable. I had no idea that people had to be encouraged to gamble - I thought that it came all too easily. Anyway, you take care of you now.
I am sitting here looking at a photo of Mia captioned by my DIL - 'Outfit of choice for shopping with Daddy.' She is wearing her Peppa Pig cycling helmet, a pink fleece, a princess nightie and Peppa Pig gold sparkly wellingtons. DIL says that she obviously gets her fashion sense from her father. I have to agree, although to be fair I've never actually seen him in a frilly pink princess nightie.
I have someone here putting a door on our outhouse and the poor chap is frozen. I must go and make him another reviving cuppa.

Oh that's so funny Monna I can just imagine that photo. You will have to put that up somewhere where you can keep having a laugh at it, just put it away when she gets older or she will hate you. Especially don't show it to any of her friends when she is over 10.0

Big hugs and fingers crossed for you Nutty. My dad also had to have all the tests etc for bowel cancer and it also turned out not to be for him as well. You're certainly having a time of it.
Happy birthday Mrs LW, I bet Mr LW never imagined the best present you'd like was an upstairs loo.
Glad today went well SQ.
Well it looks as if we'll be moving in about 20 days. Bit scary!
I've had my handyman round to see if the fridge seal can be replaced. He's going to google. (Never having done it before!) We have a decision to make about the 2 greenhouses which are there. Apparently they shouldn't be, so either the sellers will provide an indemnity policy or they will take them down. Really I'd have liked just one down but obviously that isn't an option! And they are taking up a lot of space obviously. Do I need/want a greenhouse? I am certainly not green-fingered and have never had any success at gardening but I had planned to grow more this year. Ho hum.0 -
:bdaycake:Lyn: How did I miss the fact that it is your birthday. Were you keeping it quiet on purpose? Hope it was a great one.
Are you going to have a ceremonial cutting of the loo roll to open your new loo?
