The mould will just be where the seal is dodgy - a good scrub out with some bleachy water should sort it. Do you have a "Euronics" dealer in the area? They're fab for all sorts of repairs.
Lovely frosty morning here just a shame I've been up since 4am! DH wasn't feeling well so was fidgety which woke me up and then the cats....at one point there was one kitten in the bed running up and down under the duvet whilst the other 6 were bouncing around trying to catch her.
Popped to the SM for a few essentials as I really don't need to do a full shop this week - took £20 with me so I couldn't be tempted to buy any extras....I was very good! (unusual for me!)
Lots of work to do this afternoon, had another order in this morning and my little sideline racked up over £50 of sales over the weekend so have that winging it's way into my account.....I like money when it's coming in.....not so keen on the going out bit."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. The mould is already scrubbed and visibly gone...the anxiety is that it was there.0

Oooo Pooky that's an early start! I didn't realise you had as many kitties, must be chaos at yours!
Well my restful day hasn't started yet. Up 6.30, one of those mornings, one of the cats had been very poorly indeed - poor sofa. DS10 was a nightmare, we just got out to get to his friends 5 mins late. He is due a stern talking to, same thing every day. He is being woke up with me tomorrow and gawd help him if he plays up tomorrow. I have had mud to deal with, stuff spilt in the foodwaste bin (DH grrrr), icy car, lots of washing to do.... moan moan moan take no notice if meLast lot of washing to hang out and then DH and I are going to nearby posh town (well compared to ours that is!) for a charity shop browse and a snuggle up in a coffee shop. Only 4 hours til kids out from school so can't waste rest of our time. hugs and warm thoughts to you all

glad you sorted the moul d at least0 -
Oh Pooky I don't think I could be doing with cats. I had two families, DS coming along after the other two had left home. That was enough.
I think having cat's is like having babies again but this time they don't grow beyond the terrible twos. Perhaps my dad had the right idea being scared of them. If I want a cute pet I will have a guinea pig again. They purr and snuggle, they are cheap and easy to feed, have very low vets bills and they don't wake you up at 4am not even when they have just had 8 babies.
Have been to the dentist this morning I have four broken teeth and a cavity. She is a little worried about my teeth all breaking so she is referring me to the hospital. She had to file down the front of my tooth as it started cutting into my lip again at about 4am. She says the filling is quite firm and will be OK for a while.0 -
7 really is the limit for me - it's surprising how much time they take up (and whoever thought it would be a good idea to have white painted stairs with a lovely runner up the middle was mad - they only walk on the white bits with muddy paws!! ---- oh yes that was me - I thought it would be lovely - but then I did only have 2 cats at that point).
Washing machine died on me earlier - tried a factory reset but it's quite clearly the board that's gone - the brushes were on their way out too so not worth repairing (which I hate). Popped out to our local independent shop, they confirmed parts and labour would be around the £150 mark, for a 4 year old machine it's just not cost effective....so tomorrow a lovely new shiny one will be delivered and our old one collected. They knocked £20 off the price as we asked nicely (if you don't ask you don't get!). Could have done without that spend this month but hey ho - it's in one hand and out the other!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Pooky Our DS has repaired several washing machines for family and friends over the past few years, and says replacing brushes is the worst job. Though replacing bearings is no fun either.
He has also been replacing our old radiators, and I said to him the other day as he passed me with drill in hand: "You're not a professional plumber, but you're not an amateur plumber either, because amateurs enjoy what they do."
He thought briefly and said "I'm a reluctant plumber, that's what I am." :rotfl:
I hope your new machine has a long and happy life!
Maggie Our DD1 loves guinea pigs too. She had some for a number of years, then decided she wouldn't have any more as it was so upsetting when they died, and of course they don't usually live that long, though the first one she had lived to be 5 or 6.
Then a few months ago she saw two piggies in Pets At Home in need of a new home as their owners had had to move to a rented flat where pets weren't allowedso they are now very happy in a big cage on her table!
So sorry to hear about your teeth (((HUGS)))0 -
Still here but reluctant to move for the cold, minus 8 this afternoon. Dreaming about spring now, but a long time to go yet.0

Yes yes yes ,I am not moving for at least 20mins in front of this fire....took 45 mins longer to get home from sch run tonight ...lots of snow ,big lorry stuck on the bank near us,didn't move for about 30 mins ...4 kids in car fun fun fun ...
So have now sorted dogs out ,dug them out to get to them ,same with the chickens ....then spent 15 mins in the garden with ds and 2 house dogs ,great fun if a bit cold .:D...so now waiting for a duck to cook ,don't know what they are going to have it with .....??
