Aww Stilty, sounds like Mil had things worked out for herself bless her. Now the hardwork begins for you all. Sending hugs with much love tucked in xxClearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
My Dad did the same - he was in a hospice with leukaemia and saw me on my birthday when I visited (every day) then the next day the hospice phoned in the morning and I got there a half hour later and he had already gone.
The same happened with an aunt of DH's who was like a gran to DDs
- We were visiting the hospital and came early morning which was unusual as we lived a distance away and parking machine problems delayed us - eventually went to see her and she had just died. We had to tell the nurses as they had just been there and she had been alive then but was so peaceful and at rest when we arrived it seemed meant somehow."This site is addictive!"

Sending love Stiltwalker. We've had family pass away that have waited until we got home (regardless of how long we'd been with them). According to an intensive care nurse, it's very normal.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070

So sorry stilty, sounds like she knew what she was doing ,sending hugs and thinking of you all .
We to get free wood have spent lots of hours this weekend, cutting trees ,loading the landrover 3 times with large chunks of tree then unloading ,stacking ,chopping, moving to log store ...dh was using the chainsaw I was using circular saw, had a bit of a production line going...both of us are shattered now ,we must be getting old ! We go through some amount of wood,2 log burners ,1is small and just heats the room where as the other is very large and it does our heating and hot water ,can heat 16 radiators ,so that's is on 24/ 7 ...does save us a fortune though ,we put it in about 6 years ago before that we had gas heating and even though it was on a timer and on only about 4 hours per day our gas bills were about £170 per mth .:eek: so glad we changed as I dred to think what we would be paying now ... So now just pay with very achy arms and shoulders , quality time with dh moving lumps of wood lol
So going to try and go to bed early tonight ,hope kids will be back at sch tomorrow, they were off on Friday because school closed due to weather ...
Take care all x£223/ £250 GC0 -

I am so glad your MiL passed peacefully with her mind at rest, Helen.
Both a good friend and another friend's husband were in very good form for the last hours of their life, then died within an hour or two. That last rally of strength also seems a very common experience.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Hugs Stilty and family. Sounds like it was best for everyone this way. She has no pain now. It is very common.
I told my brother I was going to call Kevin. He did not know that was our minister. Mum passed away just as he came into the room. It was like she wanted him there for us.0 -

Morning, Stiltwalker and family so sorry for your loss. Mum is now at peace and completely pain free. I hope little miss stiltwalker manages to cope ok. Its a bit thing for little ones to understand.
It is majorly windy here, we have lost 2 fence panels so the emergency wire fencing has been attached. It keeps puppy safe and in our garden. We are probably going to loose some more the other side too. I wont be as keen to replace them either. We asked our new neighbours not to drill and put flower baskets onto the posts. He did every single one, so now we have the bad weather they are swinging happily in the wind and some of the post are getting loose. Maybe they will pay?? miracles may happen.
Well I have to go to work again, take care all xBSC member 137
