She is the sole owner, and the only correspondence or paperwork of any kind I have is facebook messages, which I have screen-shotted. (I only worked 3 days before she realised she wanted too much in the hours and couldn't afford more hours.) I messaged her saying the money still hadn't gone in and I'd be grateful if she could make sure it was there by close of business on Friday so that I wouldn't need to take matters further. She has messaged back and said the money has left her bank and she has no control over when it goes into my bank account so don't threaten her. Which is rather annoying as it was her yesterday who said it would go into my bank account today! But never mind, as long as I get paid I don't care, I can put the whole sorry experience behind me.

Hopefully it will be in your bank soon, & I think it was for the best the job didn't work out as she's not showing a nice attitude!

Good morning, not had time to post but have been reading, sorry to hear so many of you are having such a bad time.
It's great to hear how well Docky is doing Mrs LW, what a turnaround.
mrsdwhite - Is it today you finish? I do hope your OH has the rest he deserves, how sad that it takes you to resign and him to be signed off sick, I hope your employers feel very ashamed.
Possession - How unfair and what a shame this has happened, I hope it doesn't put you off future employment.

Mrsdwhite last day today hope all goes well for you :)

Mrslw lovely to hear docky has improved

Possession I think you may have had a lucky escape with the job, also very glad you will benefit from the stamp duty whatsit, we fell lucky when we bought this place as at that point first time buyers were exempt.

I have a meeting at school today with both sides present, and the head teacher. I feel very apprehensive and that I may end up mediating staff issues rather than freaking with my child issue. But I suppose if we get the staff sorted and working together that will solve our issues. Otherwise I will simply withdraw him and home school this year too.

I haven't time to post properly but just wanted to say welcome home kittie :)

Using up the dregs of mince that I don't actually know how long have been in the freezer (but given said freezer isn't very old I'm not too panicked) so when I get back I am going to try to find a recipe that I haven't tried for tonight's meal. I fancy mexican inspired. Think I have done Italy to death (but really feel quite healthy for it :) )

Certain foods make my ingestion go crackers. Namely heavy pastry and very spicy foods. Used to be able to consume large amounts of anything. I am taking it as a bit of a warning.

Fingers crossed the money is in the account Possession and you can draw a line under the whole saga.

Other things are crossed for you Kidcat at the school, hope that goes well.

I am enjoying copious amounts of celebratory cheap wine. Had my post op check up with the surgeon. I'm officially infertile :T Both tubes were examined after removal, turns out they had benign cysts too. He even showed me pictures of my innards. As my dad would have said, better out than in (though he wasn't talking about fallopian tubes). Mentioned feeling kicked by a mule, to which he nodded, asked how long I'd feel like this, he said "well, you'll be a bit better each day" :rotfl: Overall, I'm doing fine. He had a look at my incisions, and decided he simply had to pick the scab. TMI?? Glad I have a surgeon with a sense of humour and gentle hands. Now, if I could just feel like using my newly earned infertility, all would be well :o.

In other news: 6 jars of mincemeat done, 2 large xmas puddings done, Christmas is officially (if belatedly) underway in our house.

Softstuff All in good time ;)

Fuddle Well done you! :T Your sister has such a cheek assuming you'd sort it out  IMO you are doing the right thing for yourself and your family.

kidcat Hope the meeting goes/went well.

mrsdwhite Good luck for today and best wishes to you both ((HUGS))

Nice to see you kittie :)

Possession So pleased the cut in stamp duty will help you :) I hope your money goes in today.

Sheila - best wishes for your op - once it's sorted you'll feel like a new woman :) I'm having an op next Friday - gynae stuff, (_pale_) but less major than what softstuff had done and the recovery time is about a week, I believe.

OH has an appointment at the dentists today to have a dental implant replaced - he had 4 put in in August and one went wrong and had to be removed so it's being re-done today. Originally he was expecting to have the crowns put on last month, now he has to wait another few months :( He hasn't had any back teeth for years though and manages to chew with the front ones :p

Not the cheeriest of weather here today - gloomy and wet and cold - but it'll soon be the solstice and we can start looking forward to the longer, brighter days again. As I keep determinedly telling myself!

Possession I find it funny when people respond with the 'don't threaten' line when faced with 'take things further'. Shows a lack of professionalism really and a response like that probably shows that she knows she isn't too grand at her affairs. Hope you get your money soon.

Bit of a rant as all the recipes I fancy need chipotle paste. I refuse to move my sorry arris to go to the shop. I am having a day in! Might end up just cracking on with a mild chilli. Greek recipes need lamb or a tagine, morrocan need lamb, fish or a tagine. Do I need a tagine to make a tagine... at the risk of asking a stupid question?

I detect I am in a defeatest mood today :rotfl: It simply will not do!

Anyway. I am making muffins today as youngest's school would like all parents to fill a paper plate with cakes for the Christmas fayre cake stall.

I finished my slipper socks last night so when I have sown in the ends I'll show you. It's pay day tomorrow so I will be able to buy more wool for my cardi. I have the reindeer hat to finish for Saturday and beginning a summer/nautical blanket for picnics etc. That is just with cheap acrylic though.

I am tempted to begin wrapping the banister with greenery today. Last year we went to the new forest, picked up any greenery we could find and cellotaped it in place but it doesn't last very long. This year I have a false green base and will add bits of greenery so I can keep on top of it when they shrivel and die. I would very much like to wait until Solstice but my two are badgering me and I can see them looking fondly at the houses on the school run. What the heck eh? Pooky I love your dresser and all your decoration pieces. Your home looks so inviting, warm and cosy. :)

Depends what was in your toastie. I make sourdough bread and that is fine, shop bought bread is not fine, if shop bought sourdough then they only add a little blob of the starter to their yeast. Mine has no extra yeast but quite a lot of starter. Cheese in your your toastie? Tomato?

I am still trying one food at a time. Today, oatmeal with a few dried figs, all cooked. Fine. Just now a small bowl of hm sauerkraut, feels fine so far, you can usually tell quickly. Later on a small bowl of blueberries with a little scattering of cracked hemp seeds (easily digested) and a spoon of yogurt. Out for lunch as meeting dd, difficult and I hope they have squash soup without tomato, I won`t be eating bread or eggs, salad will be good but I`ll be picking onion, peppers, tomatoes out. Lettuce is very soothing. So probably lettuce, lol, expensive lettuce I think
