You stick to your guns Stilty. There is no excuse for making a child unhappy - ANY child, let alone your DD. An unhappy child is not going to learn anything, so what is the use of her being there? Ooooh! If I lived nearer I'd be in there fighting alongside you. SO...certain allowances will have to be made. So what? All children of that age have to be treated as individuals anyway and they all have their strengths, weaknesses and hang-ups to be accommodated so what is different in your case? Not only is mamma bear on the warpath, grandma bear is right behind her.
I'm glad I'm not still teaching, I'd probably be prison right now.

Hi all, I hope your all getting along ok, I dont like this time of year much cos it brings with it the dreaded SAD syndrome.....
JEM Its no loss going without caffeine , ive been without it since March this year , I dont miss it at all , and my bladder is very happy not having it everyday....
SQ Its now the time of year for all the cold bugs to hit , perhaps your hubby as "man flu"......
STILTY Sorry youve got school probs , I remember them all too well...
Im in hospital Monday for the first foot op and I really cant wait much longer oh am I sick of pain...
I have had a blocked ear for about 3 yrs and ive now got tinnitus in the same ear (left), well I went to my drs back in July to see if I have wax , but no wax he says , so he said its probaly age related  , but he would refer me to audiology at the hospital , so I went there early September they done all the tests and decided I need an hearing aid , they told me im now in the waiting list and I should get it for christmas.......
BUT I had another hospital appointment come from audiology sending me an letter saying the Dr wants to see me October 1 st, so I went and the dr was asking me lots of questions , and then said I want you to have an MRI scan so I agreed then she said a brain scan ..!!..I was quite shocked by this so when I got home I phoned my dr and he says to me that they are looking for a tumour on the brain its called a acoustic neuroma tumour.........Ive also had tingling lips , so the appointment as now come for the MRI Nov 8 th.....
Im quite worried as they seem to have got me booked within a week , anyone else on here have any experience with ear problems.?...
I cant seem to think straight at all with so much going wrong with me and if it isnt one thing its another ......Im in hospital monday for the first foot op and now this dam worry hanging over me .......Sheila (was shegar)...My motto is " one life live it ".....:)0 -
Sheila, hugs, a family member has something that sounds remarkably similar to what you are being investigated for, and has managed very well with it. I have constant tinnitus in my 'good' (right) ear but so far it is manageable and I haven't had to go the hearing aid route. I am deaf from birth in the left ear.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

Ashamed to admit I don't own a rolling pin now:o I, um, used it for hitting a knife to cut a lamb bone and broke it...... but... I do own a very Heavy cast iron frying pan, so will be right behind you stilty ..
So my days off. My body went yes.. And i woke up feeling really rough. Aches and pains, and headachy, dosed up with vit c, and pain killers, think I'll snuggle up early with my heated blanket and a book.
Hugs x CCtoday's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.
