    Hi all,
I have been reading along but not had the time to post ,bit mad here now kids back at school, seam to spend my time either at work or driving around to whatever the kids need to be at , bit of a set back with the paying off debt ,overspend with kids uniforms then last week the oven died ,it has been fixed so many times that we decided to push the boat out and buy a new one :j:j lots of cash but now I have a cooker that works and you don't have to stand next to all the time to check that the oven is still on. lol since leaving the family home at 16 ( now 43 :() I have never had a new cooker ,always second hand that fixed till it fell apart ,so it is nice .. Best thing is I can blame the last cooker for my sad excuse for flat cakes and Yorkshire puddings ....great that they are now rise again ...

Judi24 hope you manage to get some sleep ,I have given up ,seam to get about 3 hours if I am lucky

Sheila hope all goes well tomorrow

Monna ,really ...if I have learnt nothing else over the last year , looks and appearance count for nothing ,happyness and health count a lot ,warmth humor love and giving a dam get you through the rest ...and some times the odd glass of wine lol

Better go sort out washing from dryer, 1 load in there other load hanging on my old Nana's metal rotating clothes horse ,fab to use at night but to scary to use anywhere near the kids, sure they could impale an eye or something on it , wouldn't pass health and safety in 2014 ....think it must date back to about 1950's ....

Morning toughies, sounds like lots of busy folk on here. I had planned to spend the (school)day madly cleaning but am ridiculously tired, feeling sick with it and have to go to a late open eve. I have also been invited to a friend's for lunch so I am blowing a raspberry at the housework. I am going to try and have an hour or two's kip then off to friends. I am hoping I will then have more energy to blitz the house and cook an early dinner before going out in the eve.

that pasta sauce sounds nice and easy judi - I occasionally treat us to a supermarket chilled tub of it but want to make me own. Have the ingredients in so might make for a quick tea tonight actually. Finding all sorts of delights in the freezer depths (LOOK AWAY DIETERS) 2 bags of frozen sausage rolls (to bake type), selection pack of cheeses YS after Xmas, 3 tubs of YS double cream, a tub of HM choccy muffins that kids didn't like so got shoved in the freezer - they taste like brownies now, delish.

Question please? I have unearthed a packet of frozen prawns, out of date and been in there at least 2 years. Not sure if they are ok to eat? Would you eat them?

well done on the weight loss ginny!! right off for 40 zzzzzzzzzz
  • Good luck with the op today Sheila.
Great weight loss Ginny, I need to do the same and more.
Judi I'm also having sleep issues, for months now I've been waking at 2 or 3 or 4 and find it impossible to get back to sleep for hours if at all. Since I need to get up at 6 in the week it's becoming a problem.
My friend's op went well although she needs to wait to find out results from the neck dissection. She'll be in hospital till the weekend at least I think.
Our house should be going on the market today or tomorrow. Scary stuff.

Just a quick update as I am working tonight out the goodness of my heart and being a little bit of martyr because I don't want to.

Well news is that today youngest DD was offered a place at the school over the road from us! I'm thrilled. Every logistical nightmare removed, saving £33 a month on petrol, eldest DD safe after school, youngest in the school very near. No more driving in the town's traffic to do the school run. Oh I am supper happy. Like with every I seem to do, it all kind of works out in the end :rotfl:

I was worried how youngest at 6 years old would take the news she was moving but I should have given her more credit. She was her general bubbly positive self and appeared very excited. I am sure she will be sad when she leaves but she's such an excitable bouncy kid - that sadness won't last.

So quick tea of pasta bake tonight. I am hoping I have time to eat mine!

    Catch up properly tomorrow. :)
