Well its raining here today so my plans for an hours wander around the zoo are thwarted. I have discovered our soap powder is almost out so we are off to Costc@ instead. Ideal for a wheelchair and the kids enjoy the taste tests
SQ we need to do trainers as well, but as its DD8 and she has sandals we have made do, as I usually go to the outlet shop for them but its not the easiest of places to park and this car is mahoosive! I may well take DD19 car tomorrow when OH is here to watch DS16 for me and then just do a girlie trip0 -
SQ you made me howl
"No one thought to mention it to the shoe buyer"
It's the same in this house, the same goes for uniform buyer, shoe buyer, stationary buyer, new pants, socks.............oh I buy a lot :rotfl:
Got a splitting headache, the builders are still building the five bed £280 000 "affordable housing" across the road
The kids on the corner have been screaming like they are being murdered since 9am ...........who invented trampolines???
The dog behind us is howling because it can't stand all the screaming
I love the holibobs I do

well been and got the trainers, between 0.5 and 1.5 sizes bigger than his various footwear at home. There was nothing to choose from as he needed a H width and he still says one toe hurts but both the assistant and I spent ages feeling his toes and the next size was way too big. Hoping his toe is just feeling sore from his old tight trainers and the new ones are a bit stiff as new. He is one size smaller than me now at age 10!!
Shoe shop beginning with C tried several times to talk me into buying school shoes or booking an appointment for a fitting later. We do the same thing every year and I told them in the beginning only here to buy one pair of trainers. Used to visit a factory outlet near my parents (and my mum used to put towards the cost). There is another one a bit of a drive from us but reluctant to go on my own as DS10 moans so much and DS7 gets very fidgety. No fun at all taking boys shopping! So plan is to go with DH when we are back from hols as he has a 2nd week off at home. I will find somewhere fun to go nearby so we maximise petrol and time.
We only went to the shoe shop other than bump into friends just back from their hols who insisted on buying us all an icecream so we could sit down for a catchup. Couldn't say no to that!
DS7 wants to go back out somewhere green, DS10 doesn't - they are getting more and more like this and its beginning to grate. I am hot and tired and have a list of things to do. I am currently trying to talk them both into playing in the green space near our garden. 10 feels such an awkward age - too young now for lots of things but not old enough for others. I would be ok with DS being dropped at the cinema, bowling or similar but none of his friends seem to be allowed to yet. There are lots of things DS would love to do but most of them are expensive!
forgive my rambling, feeling a bit fed up

oh yes PIC, I know what you mean! I even buy his lordship work shirts from the charity shops, wash them and stick em in the wardrobe and he rarely notices. One advantage of being Chief Buyer (of every blooming thing that passes our thresh hold) is that I have control of the spondoolicks. If DH was in charge of our finances we would be living in a tent sharing a tin cup and a pair of socks between the four of us.

Joining you on the fed up feeling SQ, I've just realised the reason my head is thumping is because I have the back door open and the man behind us keeps walking up to his back fence to have a joint!!!
The smell gives me headache and the poor foster cats must be stoned from his continuous chuffing away, it does seem to answer the question why the naughty foster cats always calm down quickly here though.
It does annoy me as his Mrs sends him up the end of the garden as she doesn't want it near the kids or her but as our garden is sideways on it's not far from my back door.
Beware really low remark below
Maybe if he stopped buying drugs he could afford a lawnmower and some black bags!!!
See SQ I'm fed up to

PIC that counts as anti social behaviour. Personally I would report him, if his wife doesn't want it in her house you shouldn't be expected to have it in your home.
SQ I no longer ask for opinions on my plans for the day and nor do I offer choices. It just causes so many arguments. I simply make my decision and inform them what we are doing. It is far less stressful0 -
I don't often offer choices but get "can we go to/do x now?" I probably am too soft. Also I feel sad and guilty that we are not visiting my parents for the 2nd year running. I do my best with the resources I have and they are not hardly done by. DH is coming home early today, due home in about an hour and feel grateful for that. Decided to take myself off tomorrow to try and tick a few more things off the ever present "to buy" list. I usually love the kids being home but feeling a bit stressed at the mo.
PIC - charming neighbours, ours (one side) are nearly as bad, it does get you down at times. Hope the fedupness goes soon.0 -
Another one here fed up with the neighbours at the back yesterday. Just as I wanted to sit down and enjoy a few minutes in the garden after the paid stuff, discovered they'd lit a blooming great bonfire. And my washing was on the line. Some people have no consideration for others.
Other than that, I'm in a good mood, but that's because its the weekend and I no longer have children to entertain in the holidays.
Sorry if that sounds smug, I do understand what its like - honest.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
I'm glad DD's feet have stopped growing! We all take the same size so there's always a choice of footwear. I did have to take DD2 into town yesterday for new undergarments - she stopped doing dance at school about 6 months ago and has gone from a barely size 8 to a very nearly size 12, stands to reason we need to update certain items.
I've packed and cleaned the living room and study all that's left is the big furniture that can get shoved around as required. Just need to get the curtain poles down tomorrow then it's filling and sanding woodwork. My cordless hoover has come into it's own, the mini hoover has been fab for doing the tops of dressers and tall units and for decobwebbing the coving (I swear my house could audition for a haunted house the amount of cobwebs we get). Ran out of steam at 5 so went for a nice soaky bath in peace (DH asleep, DD1 out with BF and DD2 working at my friends). It was bliss!
Dinner is veggi chilli and nachos (cooked earlier in the week so just need to reheat)...might even go mad and have a glass of something cold and white."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Wow pooky you have done so much. I feel lazy by comparison. The house never looks tidy at moment with DS16 in dining room permanently.
I have to say my back is grumbling at pushing the wheelchair. Just hope those hours in the gym are enough to have built up enough strength to keep my back at a grumble rather than a full blown strike!
Costc* today had some lovely taste test and some good offers too. Chicken breasts were 3.00 off per packet. I also bought fruit juice which worked out I got 12 cartons for the price of 5 from the supermarket.0
