Good to see you Cornishchick. Take it steady when you go back to work, but you seem to be doing really well. Good days and bad days I am sure.
Much love

CC sounds like a challenge at work may be just what you need. Putting one foot in front of another sounds like good progress to me
SQ - I do that with my back regularly and never learn my lesson either, hence my gym obsession, I am hoping to get my back stronger and more able to cope.
Monna - oh no not the elf and safetys again, I thought we had been told things were being relaxed in that area?
I am back from the dentist and the work is done, the sedation didnt work so well this time and I was more alert and able to know what was happening which was a bit yuck! I have two more of these to go through which will see the fillings all done too. He says hopefully if I am careful I can avoid any more work for a few years.
Its sore this time as well so am taking my painkillers.
Trip to vet this morning as Madame has a raging eye infection, eye drops and eye washing twice a day is not fun and she isnt enjoying it either. If she starts coughing and sneezing she has to return for antibiotics!! She has to be the most costly animal we have ever owned0 -

Good to see you posting
I'm convinced that my mum planned when she died - Sunday 31st, so end of the tax, works pension & council tax month and the end of her rent & state pension weeks. Made all those things easier, but I remember the palaver after my dad died on the 19th of March 1991 when his pension was paid on the 15th of the month, so they wanted most of it back again. Luckily mum was able to pay for the funeral.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

AOT , you had better be keeping those ankles Up.
Beautiful sunny day here. I am currently taking a break from tackling the last panal of hellish trellis... If I get it finished today, I think I will celerbrate with lighting the fire pit tonight, open a bottle and cook outside..
I hope the fact that it's so quiet here means every one is out enjoying the weather.
Hugs to everyone. X CCtoday's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

Hello all
You must all have the nice weather, it's overcast and really windy here - a tad chilly.
CC - It's great to hear from you, one foot in front of the other is great progress, I hope the return to work goes smoothly for you.
Kidkat - It's catflu time of year so do keep an eye on her. One of ours had it last year and it was so worrying. The other girl that we have had hayfever last year which came back with runny eyes and snuffles at the beginning of May - we kept an eye on her but it cleared itself in 4/5 days (the vet told us to give her immune system chance to kick in last year). Hope Madame responds to the eye washing well.
Burtha - I bet you're so excited about your DD's baby - will it be your first grandchild?
I've been running around like a loon all morning, just thought I'd crack on with some work and had a tearful call from DD1 who's having a crisis about her picture hanging in the gallery, I've told her to just get it painted and ready and I'll go over in the morning and do the drilling and wiring for the hanging - the staff that are supposed to help have over 300 students work all over the city centre to hang and she's paranoid they won't do it right. Super Mum to the rescue again eh?
OS wise I've eaten left overs for lunch and plan to conserve electricity by not doing the ironing this afternoon. I shall instead cut pretty things from paper and think about something nice for tea."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
I like that kind of energy conservation Pooky!!!0

CC , so glad to see you, and thank you all for posts. Hugs to those needing.
As some of you know from FB, yesterday wasn't the best day, as we had an early morning break - in. My laptop, smartphone and handbag went. DS was at work. I was upstairs and heard nothing.
My new contract started yesterday, I metaphorically bounced into the lounge with such enthusiasm too... then stared in disbelief at the empty spaces.
Well, it was always one of my worries that something like this might happen. Now it has, it's a feeling that, well, that's got that out of the way. Now to recover, materially and mentally.
Thank goodness, I have been loaned a laptop, and also have my old Netbook which was in the bedroom. I can't download to the laptop, as it has super - high security settings.
Crucially, apart from some photos, no memories went, or truly precious things, although the loss of the only really good handbag I've ever owned is a beggar.
Everything's been reported, police were great, insurance helpful - and thanks to the Cards Lost list here, it was done relatively easily.
It's not the worst thing that could have happened. Not by a very long chalk.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
 my word.. McC that's horrible. But glad you are ok and I love your attitude..
Since being a lone I do worry about these sort of things happening to me. But have taken steps to prevent as much as is possible..
Sending you big hugs ..x
