  • He's worth it, they all are but that doesn't make 4 in the morning on no sleep very easy to cope with does it Molly??? Howsomever, we're his 'parents' and he's our boy so we'll do whatever it takes to get him through it, 'cos I love him really even if I have on occasion been tempted to reach for the mincer!!!

    Great news about DD, PIC.
Mrs LW have you tried a thundershirt for Docky? I have one but I don't think it will fit a lurcher if it fits a small cocker spaniel.

Shegar - it feels like I have been packing for months!!!! In reality, we confirmed we were taking the house on the 14th May then went away on holiday on the 19th and have been packing since we got back. I am so fed up of it now, I am so not moving EVER again!
  • POSESSION is a thundershirt one of those doggie 'Hoodies'? I can't even get this one to wear a waterproof coat, he won't walk or wee unless it's taken off which kind of defeats the object doesn't it?

I'm curious now as to what a thundershirt is too! My LittleDog isn't scared of anything and she is a lap dog, so it wouldn't matter, but OldDog who is big has always been scared of everything. We live where a lot of shooting goes on and this always scared her along with fireworks, thunder, motorbikes etc, but now in her very old age she is going a little deaf, so she stays on the lead now (her choice) and is much calmer.

Sheila, my SickDog who died recently was a Patterdale, I think they are such lovely little characters so enjoyed reading about yours.

Anyway, my headache has now gone and I can report that, PIC, I did exciting weeding today.
Spend less now, work less later.

Stilty, hubby & I moved 5 times in a twelvemonth, it was hell, we also managed to combine the moves with a divorce & a bereavement, not a time I ever want to repeat.
Parental visit's done, prep done for upcoming familial punch ups, lodger walked & cuddled & I only got one foot in the river!

It's like tshirt material and has various flaps that you wrap round and attach with velcro quite tightly. I couldn't see it made much difference to Lottie but lots of people swear by them.

WonderCollie has a thunderjacket. Sons gf brought it back f rom a trip to the States. WC is a total coward when it comes to thunder. He becomes a lapdog. Only my lap. Some times the jacket works and sometimes it doesn't. I think for him it depends on how far away the thunder is. Only another three months of it to go.

The bowel cancer kits that come through the post, are they the stick and cardboard kits?

My ulcers have been making themselves felt. So have to double up on the meds and they are threatening me with another gastroscope. Well, the only good thing about that is my hospital is very generous with the drugs.

Hope the weekend is good for you and all of the Dad's here have a good Father's d=Day tomorrow

    Morning

    Happy Fathers Day everyone

Jazee weeding is not to be underestimated :p

Devil dog woke me at 3.50am and I told her to go back to bed which she did then the chickens had me up at 5am.

I haven't got any plans today but I'll have to see what DH wants to do as it's Fathers day.
