In my area if you go private you have to stay private.....you can't see the consultant and then jump on to the NHS list0

Ok own up, who let the thread get on page 2? :rotfl:
DD has had the results back and they have given her the all clear, she has a follow up in 6 months. The lady did say she thought she got it all at the time but it's a relief to know that it's been tested.
So thank you for all putting up with me you lovely people :T
I feel so exhausted I'm not going to do much today so someone please go and do something exciting and come back to tell us please

Good news on your DD PIC. Nothing exciting to report here as I've just had a snooze for the last hour, trying to get rid of a headache. No luck, just having lunch.Spend less now, work less later.0

Well I do look at it like that too , but im in agony all of the time , so Ive got to make a start to get something done , im really sick to death of pain , ive got no quality of life like I am and im only 56 , which is relatively youngish in drs eyes......
No company will touch me insurance wise because of type 1 diabetes , ive tried in the past to get it , but everyone knows that type 1 diabetics get a lot on things wrong with them and its costly espeically after being type 1 for 38 years ..........
It was a cloudy start to the day , but the sun is now coming through which makes it feel warmer......The garden looks so lush at this time of year , everythings growing so quickly .....
MAR how is your health..?..

PIC wonderful news about your DD and an object lesson to the rest of us to go for those Mammogram and Smear Tests no matter how unpleasant the experience may be, literally they are a lifesaver. We both get the bowel cancer tester kits through the post and again not the most pleasant thing to do but very necessary as a precaution. I very much believe in taking advantage of these things as they are free and the NHS does a grand job in keeping us well, but you have to actually GO for the screening before they can help you!!!
Had a second difficult night with the Dockling last night, he was up and trying to dig his way out beside the front door for half the night as he was so scared of the heavy rain and faraway thunder, spent night no2 on the sofa and didn't get off to sleep until almost 4 this morning when he finally settled down. Oh goodness I'm weary. I'm hoping for a quieter night tonight for the poor old boy, he seems to be getting more extreme in his fear as he gets older, it's so sad to watch him but I can't just let him wreck the floors so I have to stay awake to make sure he doesn't. Having a very easy day and have dozed for an hour so that along with a cuppa which is made and brewing should make me last until bedtime, hope all is well with all of you, will catch up properly tomorrow, Lyn xxx.0 -
Oh Poor Docky,
Can the vets not prescribe him a mild dose sedative? our last dog had to have a sedative when fireworks went off, he got worse with age. It only took the edge off but I got to the point where I thought he was going to have a heart attack. It's so upsetting my heart goes out to you Lyn.
I didn't know you could get bowl tests through the post, is that for everyone?

Lyn, Im sure I read bout something you plug in that releases calming pheromones for frightened dogs - maybe someone on here knows more and can point you in the right direction.
Just waiting for the rain to turn up here, its getting darker by the minute. Ds and wifey turned up with more ideas for their blessing party - they are so O/S its amazing. We are going with the Vegas theme and they picked up cards and poker chips today for £1.99 in a card shop instead of over a fiver online. Pinterest has been very useful, I show them an idea, we thrash it out and they get me the bits and bobs. Am now making a wreath from USA maps with a circle of playing cards and chips in the middle - wish me luck, in theory its simple :rotfl:Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
PIC NHS Bowel Cancer Screening starts when you are 60."When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us" Alexander Graham Bell0
