Sound advice over the dogs as always, we're just a very small village between some very busy roads so there isn't much options for walk areas. We stuck to the roads he was round the roads, stuck to the field same again, changed time.......
It's that time of the month do you think I would get away with clobbering him with my frying pan or would that be as waste of frying pan

Waste of a good frying panMust use my stash up!0 -
Buy a cheapie pan in a CS - in fact, get two!!
Kidkat - hope you're ok x
Hugs to all who need them at the moment.
Shegar - so pleased you've got DH sorted, you can now spend proper quality time with him without fretting about what else needs doing. I hope your health comes on in leaps and bounds now.
We're having internet issues - just waiting for a new "box" but it's ruddy inconvenient. Hey ho.
Have finished several "cuts" and need to get them framed up tomorrow - I've set up my framing equipment in the conservatory as it's the only place I can close off from the cats when I'm trying to play with very delicate things....but as the weather's been naff it's full of cats and washing on airers at the moment.
DD1 is having major attitude issues at the moment, DD2 starts her GCSE's on Tuesday and DH is still having issues with his new meds so it's all fun here!!
Fuddle - yes quiche freezes fine - I do mini ones in a bun tray as they're great for lunch boxes too."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
IVYLEAF....Me too yearn for decent looking shoes, ive got plantar fasciitis and metatarsal problems , had it for 3 years and the only comfort I can get is wearing crocs.......Ive got 4 pairs of beautiful long boots, plus I love boots a lot but im stuck with crocs, so I know exactly how you feel when you cant dress up nicely.......
I went to hospital today for my ENT check up after 5 weeks since the op, dr was very pleased with how the op went and said im healing nicely , and that im still healing , he as sent a prescription through to my drs to pick up at the chemist , and that I will need to take that for the next 3 months.......Both stitches are now out of my nose, so hopefully I will keep on progressing .......
Im so glad the op is behind me now , having OH back for the weekend , he very happy in the home and well looked after , he says he miss the dog and looking out of our windows at the birds, yea fair enough but he didnt mention missing me......!!....Laughing aside im very happy for him that he has settled in so well, my life will now get better , and have some " me time" at last , feels funny just getting myself something for tea , good that I dont have to cook if I dont want too, and make do with sandwich and fruit , I use to cook for him but his taste buds were all over the shop , resulting in wasting so much good food ...Not having to change his clothes so often when he eats , and the floor.......
Well today weve had a lot of rain , and so glad we did , cos water butts were empty , garden too dry , and ive been at hospital all day so It didnt matter to me how much rain fell, the weather getting dry again as from tonight..........Sheila0 -

Now you know what the problem is... Pooky's hiding in your freezer... :cool:0 -
Evening toughies,
Possession - I am sure I would have gone crazy by now
PIC - I agree that you need more advice and possibly a heavier frying pan!!
Shegar - so glad it was good news today, and that your hubby is settled.
MOnna - have a wonderful holiday
Pooky - oh dear sounds like your house has a bad case of grumpyitus
Its been a hard week, OH has worked untold number of hours, kids are seriously playing up as a result. It also been generally busy, ended up at DS10 school yesterday for the blinking cookery course which was excruciating as its a course to teach parents how to cook from scratch and not waste food!!! You can imagine how it went, when one teacher announced she had thrown away two eggs as the date was the day before! I really have to learn to keep my mouth shut.
Today DD8 represented her school in tennis, so another afternoon out.
I am exhausted especially as the old issues with the group I was involved in has reared its head again, and I think its going to get very nasty, unfortunately I am going to end up involved as one of my other roles clashes.
So glad tomorrow is Friday, am hopeful we can get the last of the living room done and get a big chunk of DD room done.
Off now to have some kitty cuddles before bed0 -
Hi Ladies
I've just spent ages writing a post bemoaning the fact I'd not had much time to post this week and then it just went!! Arghh!! Perhaps it was just far too boring...
So to recap! Busy week at work I think we've just tried to pack time missed on bank holiday into working week, boys out but being dropped off time to catch up here (with a cheeky glass of wine), realised whilst doing online shopping order that no room in cupboards (or store cupboard) so must have a better meal planning and use up month. Phew it was a lot longer first time around...
I don't feel confident yet in catching up with everyone in a post as I'm sure I'd miss someone out but really just wanted to send hugs to Shegar its going to be a really emotional few weeks for you, but you sound like such a wonderful, caring and strong lady that once this has passed you and OH are going to have such a better quality of time together - you will have time to spend on yourself when you are not with him (which as a carer is so far down the line I appreciate) and time purely for him when you are.
Looking forward to the weekend - PTA event at school tomorrow, so good night for a good cause, with a very good local curry in the ticket price! Will drive too so even cheaper. Then catching up with great friends, plus have the challenge of having to finish a book before book group, perfect! Just wish the weather forecast was better as have so much to do in the garden.
Perhaps the reason I don't have time to post is that I find it hard to stop talking....

Really quick question please - I bought some cooked mackerel fillets whoops the other day. BUt I have brain freeze as to what they can be used for??
I am not even sure why I picked them up, if I am honest I don't remember deciding to buy them, (did I mention its been a long week)
