    Hi All,

Busy day, but just wanted to mention to Nutty about print cartridges-not sure how much notice you had, but this company usually gets them to me the next day and their cartridges are competitively priced (their refurbs for my printer are often cheapest out there).

    Cartridgesave.co.uk

I've also had good customer service for them (I don't work there!!!)

Obviously if it is a same day jobbie then that doesn't help! I've been trying to do multi buy offers recently for that situation--works out a bit cheaper per page but of course requires a bigger up front cost.

    Afternoon all

Sounds like mixed bag this past few days - hugs to those who are still low and "yays" to those who are having some breakthroughs.

Possession and Ginny - Enjoy your time away. You both deserve it!!!

Kidkat - how's Madame settling in today? She is gorgeous. Hope Womble settles with her soon - it took mine a good few months to tolerate the kittens when we first got them.

Fuddle - Great news on the weight loss and award at work - sounds like you're all settled in now.

Nutty - Ouch - I hate that inks cost so much - we get through tons here as DD1's course demands a lot of printing....add in the rolls of film and processing papers/chemicals and it's a wonder we're not broke.

We'd come to the realisation about 3 months ago that DH seemed to be having less spasms and falls and were very optimistic about things slowing down....but since he's had to change his AD's we've seen the symptoms come back so can only assume that the AD's mask some of it. Hadn't really realised how much they "dumb him down". The new ones are really not helping at all so he's got a call booked with the GP for Tuesday to see what's to be done. He went over with such a bang yesterday that I'm not sure how he didn't break his knees. He's refusing to use his chair in the house as he sees it as a step backwards so I just keep following him round and picking him up. Men!!!

Need to get the dinner going - I've gone from just DH and I for dinner to both DD's and their BFs have turned up, luckily I was doing a chilli with some for the freezer so no change in plan, just no left overs. These teenage boys eat lots!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes for OH.

So, we have been home for just under three hours. To say it was manic was a understatement. Luckily for us though, We arrived early. Less than 10 minutes later the board changed to 3 hours waiting time due to the amount of “clients”. Then OH was called.

He was seen by 2 trainee dentist and they was amazing. They was constantly checked on, but I have to say their bedsit manner was better than none. 1 and half hours later their still trying to remove the roots and teeth from the mouth. The professional dentist (Properly not what their called) come in to check and even she said she has never seen roots to large. And she struggled too.

Finally at the second hour, Both teeth out the mouth and stitches in.

I was so relived by this time. Because if anything, I knew the pain had now gone for him. Ok, So there is bound to be tenderness, but we can all live with that. Some stronger painkillers advised and also staggering the medication too - to make sure he spends the next 48 hours pain free.

So since being home, I have managed two cuppa’s & 5+ ciggies (I know, I Know, It was NEEDED) because I’m now running back and fourth with painkillers, drinks, medications, cleaning up bloody tissues, ect.

I’ve also managed to get some washing on the line, arrange the towels ready to wash tonight (Been trying to do wash loads past 7pm on cheaper rate (At least something MS in this post )

Now I can spend the long weekend playing catch up and resting ready for the next stage of this drama come Tuesday.
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy

Thanks pooky. They are more settled today but still lots of growling and hissing. Have bought a new toy ( the cats now seem to have more toys than the kids! ) And he loves it so have managed to keep that as his special toy whole they settle.

I did a post this morning and lost it when Madame dived onto the laptop to attack the pretty flashy lights so apologies for not replying to everyone sooner.

Pooky it sounds as though your dh needs a more in depth look at his AD pills than a GP is there a specialist he could be referred to?

ginny glad you got to collect dgs today and have your holiday sorted.

Nutty hope all goes well with job and as for ink we found it was often cheaper to buy a new printer which I found abhorrent. We have a refill place in town that is supposed to be good but I have to admit we went for a laser printer in the end as the cost of ink busy seemed ridiculous. Dd19 has a black and white laser which cost 25 and she has done huge amounts of printing for university and it's still on the original cartridge. When she used the ink jet one it was a new cartridge every week.
The main house one I paid more to get a multi function one because I often use the photocopy bit but that came with a three year warranty. Previously we had ended up with paying for a new printer almost yearly.

Sending hugs to all and will pop back later to catch up.

ox87 how did OH get on with his tooth?

Hello BIZZYMUMMY welcome to the thread, it's so nice to have new pals to natter with and join in our everyday chit chat!

I'm off to DD1 for another concert this weekend so I'll read along if I can and be back on Monday, look after yourselves, Lyn xxx.

You'll do any old thing to get away from my moaning :p

PX87 What a lot on your plate! You've done well so far so don't let it slip. You will be so sick if you have one now, sick and dizzy and you will turn green, I know as I cracked a couple of weeks after I gave up and had one and I had to go to bed with a bucket :rotfl:

Two years clean this January just gone now.

PX87 glad your hubby is sorted, at last. Nothing is worse than toothache and in his case it was un-necessary if it had been treated first time.

The cricket league bought us a new printer a few weeks ago and it can be taken back nytime and replaced if it doesnt work. I wanted to take it back when the ink ran out as it uses a ridiculous amount and its an eps*n so technically you can only use their ink but we are using T*sco ink which is much cheaper so will persevere with it for a while. Its all a con  Soon it will be cheaper to replace the printer every couple of weeks instead of buying ink.

Nuttyp sitting on the front with a bag of chips at Skeggie is definately on the 'Things to do ' list :D

Sorry, quick post as very tired but ..
Re printers,, have you checked settings/preferences when printing or scanning and trying draft or quick print. It normally is quite good quality but uses less ink. When potocopying you can also change the setting from high as well
    Hope that helps .

Nutty: don't suffer at home with the Kidney Stones! Drag yourself into emergency and get pain control. I found out that it's the best way to move up the surgical list is to go into emerg. I hope you find tonight better. I've had two lithotripsy's to get rid of mine and I'm dreading the thought of the next round.

We had two lovely sunny days and Sunday we are to expect sleet and snow! Not impressed. We can't really leave plants out overnight until the first week of June.

Son has completed the first week and is content. He passed the first week's required written exam with flying colours and went to visit the first hospital that he might be placed in for his apprenticeship/job experience part. He's training to do process and prepare all the surgical trays and devices in the hospital. He said it's it a bit like learning to be a very specialized dishwasher but pays better. He also like the fact that he doesn't have to buy clothes for work and will be issued uniforms.

Other than that Mr Collie is doing well. Still got two more weeks on his tablets and some of the fur is growing back. He sends his woofs to all MS furbuddies.
