PX87 ......and breathe my petal, and breathe!!! It's one of 'those' times in life for both of you at the moment isn't it? Poor both of you, your OH for all his suffering and you for having to stand by and watch him suffer along with all the other things going on at the moment in your lives. Get him to that emergency appointment this morning and if it's possible MAKE them take some action, if they can't actually do the extractions then make sure you get him adequate pain relief and if they suggest an antibiotic in case of an infection take it. Get one thing sorted out and the pressure of the rest will be eased. It's no wonder you lost your temper with all of it going on. I hope your dads results come back clear, that must be always at the back of your mind behind everything else, I know it was when my own dad was waiting for his results. Actually knowing, whatever the results are is actually easier to deal with than waiting, once you know, you can deal. We're always here for you, you're not carrying this very heavy burden all alone, there is always someone giving you a hug and thinking of you, there with you with a hand on your shoulder helping you keep going love, you'll get through this and be stronger when you come out the other side. Keep talking to us, we'll always listen and care about you all, keep your pecker up, Love and lots and lots of hugs Lyn xxx.0

Princess step away from the fagsI know how tempting it is to reach for the crutch but you don't need one honest!!! Are you using any aids or just going cold turkey? I've tried every gadget going on the market over the years but swear by these electronic ones I'm even cutting down on my strength now so plan to be completely free by xmas
Hope hubby is sorted soon theres nowt worse than toothache..I'd rather give birth!!
*waves at Bizzy*

Dog is snoring as usual I'm sooo not used to this0 -
As always, Lyn has put it very well! ((HUGS)) PX87, thinking of you and hoping your OH gets some help with his teeth today.
Lovely to "see" you Molly, I can imagine how frustrated you feel as my condition sometimes makes me quite unable to concentrate or remember anything so I know how infuriating it is. All you can do while you are waiting to get better is the best you can xx
Ginny I hope your DH is better today and that having DGS back will help. When is it you go to Lincolnshire? Will keep everything crossed for good weather for you
Welcome BizzyMummy - i don't post very regularly, but you're right, this is a lovely thread.
cornishchick Sending you ((HUGS)).at your nephew, i can imagine my grandson doing that!
Fuddle - Glad you're doing welland well done on the weight loss! I realised a lot of my weight is there due to the things I eat without really noticing it - I've watched Secret Eaters a few times and that makes me think more about it
Atm I'm trying to speak to the secretary of the hospital consultant who did an investigation for me 6 months ago, as I've never had a follow up appointment. However, I just keep getting a message saying "Sorry! The mailbox you are calling is full." I know she's due in today as I spoke to one of her colleagues yesterday. Oh well, will try again presently.0 -
Morning all.
Welcome BizzyMummy. And that's probably the last time you get your full name used! All sympathies. Any one of what you are doing will tire you out but put them all together and !!!!!!!!!
You will survive.
Molly: Don't push yourself too hard my love. Helping your parents move is almost as stressful, if not more so, than moving yourself. If your head is still all mushy then you are probably feeling that you are losing control of what is happening. Don't worry too much. Things will happen - or not - anyway. Remember. One thing at a time.
Princess: My goodness, this is an awful time for you. You have so many priorities all crowding in on you. One thing at a time for you too. You don't have to be Superwoman, and take comfort from the fact that everything passes - even this.
One day you will look back and wonder how you coped. And cope you will, with us all cheering you on. You won't go under, we won't let you.
CC: That was a huge thing that your nephew said. Children have this happy knack of making everything feel better. Until they become teenagers, that is. Hugs, hugs and more hugs.
Ivyleaf: That is simply appalling. To leave you for six months without a follow up appointment is just unforgiveable. You have every right to make a tremendous fuss about it. If you can actually reach someone of course. If there is a Patients Complaint facility there I would contact them if you don't get antwhere today. It might get things moving.
I'm not here drivelling on. I'm actually trying to sort out reams and reams and reams of paperwork. I've got boxes of it and I'm determined to dispose of at least 90% before we move. But, oh dear, it's slow going.
Goodbye friends and Hello re-cycling bags.

Welcome Bizzy.
Ginny I hope OH is a bit improved today.
CC nice to 'see' you, nothing nicer than a little snuggle even if his brain was otherwise engaged.
Princess I hope they manage to sort OH's poor teeth today, awful to leave him in pain like that.
Ivyleaf hope you manage to contact them today.
Well I'm rushing round trying to sort everything as we are off to a caravan by the sea in Wales tomorrow for the long weekend. We're taking the dogs with us which might be problematic given Lottie is scared of everyone and everything now but will see how it goes. DH has some crisis at work so goodness knows what time he'll be home. A friend is coming in to feed the rabbits so I ought to leave it all clean and tidy but realistically that isn't likely to happen now, as I have to go to the vets tonight too. She'll understand, I hope. Have a good bank holiday weekend everyone. x0 -
Hi everyone, been absent for a few days due to excessive work load. I finished my formal application for the promotion at work, I had been asked by overall manager but still have to follow protocol. Its an extra £2.04 an hour, sounds like a lot of money when you work it out over a month.
Youngest DD has been madly rewriting her essays for her collage course, ink cartridge was empty for the printer so had to argoose for a replacement - omg £28. If I had thought about it mite have been able to get one from the internet but as always it was needed now.
OH has been working hard too but has done a few less hours overtime. Nice to be home with him tonight, quality time.
I am feeling so sleepy today, my kidney stones were on the move last night so the pain was horrific. Didn't sleep well, so I am glad I can just rest today.
Will try and finish reading back today, take care xBSC member 137

Thanks monna and possession, I did manage to speak to the secretary in the end and she was very nice. She explained that a follow-up appointment isn't always needed, but then she realised I hadn't been sent a letter of any sort, not even one to say everything was fine, and there were no biopsy results on the system! So she's going to get my notes sent up from the medical records dept to see what's happened.
At the time I had the procedure done there were a lot of changes taking place that week, as some services at the hospital were being taken over by /merged with another NHS Trust, and I wouldn't be surprised if my results have gone missing, but I hope not. Just have to wait and see! Hopefully I'll get a call from her sometime next week - I wouldn't think she'd get hold of my notes today.
Right - this afternoon I really am going to hem the trousers I need to take up. Thankfully they had a machine-stitched hem, so I shall do the same - if I did the hems by hand it would take me forever
Hi nuttyp - glad to see you, I was just thinking this morning that you hadn't posted just lately. Hope the job application wasn't too horrendous! As for the cost of an ink cartridge, I can only say:( not to mention  I think they are a bit cheaper on line, but of course you didn't have time to order one! Hope you get a decent sleep tonight x0 -
I stood at Liverpool airport arrivals watching lots of miserable people coming through the gates apart from grandparents being re-united with grandchildren and I thought how sad - if I were ever lucky enough to go to France I would return full of smiles. Then I heard 'Grandma!!!' and there he was my little man, kisses, hugs and a whispered 'bonjour' :rotfl: Grandad was weak but happy and they sat outside in the sunshine, with his Daddy having hugs whilst I waited for Dd. Finally she turned up happy to see us and full of tales of their week away. We got in the car and Grandad and the boy fell asleep in the back and stayed that way till we got to their front door.
Sounds like a lot of frustrating times for all who are dealing with medical things on the thread - do hope you all get sorted soon. I have lots of that to deal with after our break including a facet joint injection for Hubby spine or groin ( not sure which).
We go away on the 11th so can any one near Skegness order some sunshine for me as I need to re-charge myself, my batteries are low D&dd I might just get my shopping delivered straight to the cottage - excellent idea, leaves more room in the car for yarn! and fishing junk/essential equipement.
Cornish hunny, having children around certainly brightens the day doesnt it? Glad you are being good to yourself and getting out - I imagine its all to easy to hibernate. Thank you for the offer of bongelasending hugs.
Molly you take care, Im sure you must need to rest a little? try your best and delegate where possible.Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
Ginny your coming over my way, I will personally request sunshine, although temperature can not be promised!!! We sometimes go over for an afternoon/ early evening out. We people watch, have a bag of chips and probably spend a naught £1 worth of 2p's.

Ivyleaf it's only by calorie counting that I realised I was a bit of a secret eater, well not really just 'forgot' about extra calories consumed - today for instance I have had a piece of cake in 2 ladies' houses. That's not every day but makes you think!
