CC its perfectly acceptable to feel like you do at the moment. After my dad passed, I was like it. Try and go for a walk often the fresh air and a change of scenery helps. Lots to see now that spring is here, and it can give you ideas for your own garden!!!

THERE IS ANOTHER £5 VOUCHER FOR ALDI IN THE SUN TODAY. Think there is a big advertising campaign going on, all good for us regular shoppers in aldi!!

CC be good to yourself and take your time. Maybe buy a lovely plant to brighten up the garden and when it flowers it will lift your spirits. If you feel as if you can sleep then do it right away, it doesnt matter when it is you can sort out a pattern later on. xxxx

Babysat last night while Dd took advantage of the Sainsbugys sale and when she came back DGs asked if he could sleep at Grandma's even though it was nearly bedtime so we packed him up and brought him home. It was lovely to wake up to his smile. Good news today the school has been at, in nursery has accepted him so we can relax now :T
Hoping to go out today for an hour, need a few bits from a £ shop and a nice coffee for a treat.

    Morning me hearties,

((((Cornish))) as others have said, just go with the flow, sleep when you can and if you can't don't worry about it, just get up and do anything, chores, TV, have a bath even. You are bound to be all over the place for a while. While you are off work, you can just be, allow yourself to grieve and rest. We are right beside you and here to listen. Can you plan to do something nice for yourself today... it can be very small.

Nutty, cross on your behalf re the car accident. I think some people are rude from being young and throughout the rest of the lives. I am often gobsmacked at these actions, fortunately far more people are the opposite to balance the world out.

I had a similar incident a couple of years back, some idiot went into the back of my car whilst I was stationary waiting to get through a car park barrier. The young lad didn't apologise and started to get huffy with me because I wanted to check the car properly!!! The damage was very minimal and our car was/is already very bruised and battered so I had already decided to not claim or ask for repair costs ("paying back" a previous similar incident when a lovely person let me off, another tale!) I very nearly changed my mind - he got a piece of my mind at least and I got a mediocre apology.

Go monnagran! Are you available for decluttering hire?

Hope your day out yesterday was fun Pooky.

Oh Burtha - how awful for your daughter and especially with a baby due soon. Hugs to you both and fingers crossed the situation improves asap.

Ginny ....awwww re DGS and great about the nursery place

Glad the blood tests proved useful AOT. Mar has some good advice.....

Had a fun couple of days, DS9 had a friend over on Monday and all 3 boys played with water guns and walkie talkies (not at the same time) outside for hours and generally ate their body weight in food. Yesterday was the pictures with friends and back to theirs for a play/chat for a couple of hours. Made a super quick chicken noodle meal and off to Alldays without the kids to spend 2 vouchers. A full and heavy trolley with £80 worth of food in it. Thanks nutty.

Today is a quiet one. Plan to pick up a parcel from the sorting office, we will walk there for the exercise and maybe pop into a local community hall, they have some sort of community engagement event on and mention free children's activities. Going to treat myself to a nice soak with my posh birthday gift bath stuff (which I find difficult opening, silly me!) and do a few sewing repairs.

    sq :)

Hi all, well said young driver mum has called and they are now buying the part and then will arrange for it to be sprayed, bet he wishes he had stayed in bed. I really did feel sorry for her, but i wont back down as one of the clips has been broken and you always know that eventually its going to go completely. At 140 for the part i can ill afford to buy it.
SQ im glad you saved some money at aldi's, i loved its helping people. The fact you saved somecash means you can have a treat just for you, but if your like me the kids always come first and what is saved always ending being spent on them.
    take care all x

nutty that's exactly what coupons and other OS/MSE savings do... allow us to have some little luxuries... mostly the children as I want them to have a childhood full of happy memories and learning opportunities, money does not buy that per se but does put petrol in the car for trips outdoors, pay for icecreams, cheap cinema and the odd train fare to London and similar. Also means kids never miss out on a party for want of a little gift or having friends over for tea. I try to remember that when I get out the broom rather than the hoover, spent ages in different supermarkets, dash in and out of the garden with the washing and the myriad of other things so many of us do.

We still haven't ventured out as we are enjoying being in but I really want to pick up the parcel, pretty sure its from my sister for the children and much as we no longer see eye to eye, I don't want them to miss on some Easter treats from their auntie. Their little display of Easter goodies is just that - little. Its not about the chocolate as such but about the being remembered - none of DH's side have ever given them an Easter egg in the last 10 years. When they are a bit older they will understand more. I have splurged out on bigger eggs for them both this year and also a chocolate bunny from Al-dees, only 69p.

I put the money off coupons you sent me - for stuff I didn't want on the shelves tucked into the relevant product, hope they get used. The staff there are lovely and I have a feeling they would turn a blind eye if they saw them.

  • Thanks Mardatha. Unfortunately our Practice Manager seems to regard patients as interruptions to the smooth running of the office! I managed to get to see a GP yesterday by ringing continuously from 8:15 and got the last available 'book on the day' appointment. GP wants all sorts of further test and I'm not looking forward to them at all.
As for the B12 injection - it appears I need 6 of them over a two week period with the pattern of Mon, Wed, Fri repeated and I can't have them because the practice can't fit that into their schedule. Have now been told I'll have to wait til they can - no idea when that will be.:mad::mad:

CC its over three years for me and I still cannot get my sleep pattern right. Been some good loving advice on here for you - Lyn has wise words as usual. Don't beat yourself up it's an awful time - try to just face one day (sometimes just one hour) at a time. As you rightly say, its a long process. (((hugs)))
Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.
  • AOL that is disgusting, they have a duty of care, and surely an injection 3 times a week will just takes minutes with the Practice Nurse.

If it were me I would pursue it, I know you probably don't want to make a fuss but this is your health and well being, and you will feel so much better once the injections start. I can remember my Nan had pernicious anaemia, and she was extremely ill before they found out what it was, and once she had her first injections the change was so noticeable. Mind you we could always tell when she was coming up to her 3 months and time for her next one.

Take care and try to be firm with them.

    Much love

My auntie (well 3 of them & 1 uncle) all have this & she has said to me you need to inform the practice manager that this is not acceptable! You have been advised of your condition & treatment required so they have to fit you in or you'll have no choice but to make a complaint & take it further! It's disgusting that they are allowing you to suffer even after diagnosis:mad::mad:
I hope you get it sorted :o

Cc hugs as others have said it's early days yet and you are doing incredibly well.

Aot I am sorry but that is simply not good enough you have rights to timely treatment. Please get advice on complaints etc.

I am deep in holiday prep but not getting far. DS10 is really playing up so I am achieving very little. Worse thing is my back has totally gone again making it excruciating to move. I cried out shopping today . Saw a gp yesterday who gave me more meds as I had run out and he has said he will back a referral to get me extra help.

OH is broken down 60 miles away in work van. He has been there since 12.30. Waiting on tow truck he was out at 3.30 this morning and is due out at 3.30 tomorrow too. Predictions are he will be home after 9pm tonight. Am incredibly unhappy but work have all gone home leaving him there.
