burtha That's terrible, I can understand (but not agree with) theft but when they trash stuff that's just malicious.
One day these people will grow older and and have belongings they cherish and Karma will give them the same treatment I'm sure. It's the way of the world

Morning all
Burtha - as if you don't all have enough on your plates at the moment!!! Hope DD is ok.
Nutty - Glad you like it - I can't post a pic on here as you're not allowed to promote your own business but people can find the link
Off to the zoo! Well "wild life experience". We buy yearly passes every year so lots of free days out. Whilst it's a huge outlay all at once it does make sense for us. As we don't have holidays away we do like to indulge in some local treats.
DD1 is taking about 6 tonne of camera equipment as she's trying to get some shots for her final exhibition pieces. DD2 is taking her BF and they've decided to go on the treetop climbing challenge thingy - harnesses, ropes, big drops and zip wires! Rather them than me. Cheating with the picnic and picking up some sarnies on the way.

Morning all, feeling a bit better today. Oh has checked my car, one of the clips has broken on the trim so that's all that need replacing. I have requested not to speak to the said person who hit my car, my temper would probably explode if I had too. He did get quite a verbal shouting at the scene, I an not the most diplomatic of persons. Think this is due to my job.
Had an early night to bed last night, felt totally pooped out. Today I have to work the late shift, until close. Not the best but I suppose the upside is I get to earn a little more money.
Must remember to post the items I sold on ebay over the weekend.

Hi, remember me?
I've worked so hard over the last few days and virtually gutted the kitchen. We only have the bare minimum in the cupboards that we may need to use for the next 3 months. It's amazing, your voice echoes in there now. All that's left to do is the Rev's herb and spice cupboard (I have my own) which is crammed full of ancient jars and bottles. I frequently point out that most of them are out of date but she just drones her mantra that "herbs and spices don't go off." When they are grey, dusty, odourless and tasteless they do but one or two will find themselves buried in the bottom of a bin bag if I have my way. And I will!
Haven't had time to read through yet and probably won't until next week. I am giving a talk tonight to the 'Wives'. They used to be 'Young Wives' but now they are just Wives (and widows and divorcees and singlies and friends). I haven't even started thinking of what I am going to talk about yet so that's this afternoon accounted for. The request was for 'something Eastery and Holy Weekish, but not too heavy please'. Bit of a tall order as Holy Week was hardly a bundle of laughs but I'm sure I'll think of something.
Have just dispatched the Rev to the chip shop. I've too much to do to think of cooking. And no, I don't feel guilty - it doesn't happen often.
Thursday we are off to Winchester for the weekend. It's such a treat for the Rev not to be organising all the Easter Services. We will go the the Cathedral and just enjoy it.
Lots of love to you all and here's hoping that everyone has a peaceful, painfree and enjoyable Easter. And may the sun shine please.

Hey MONNA hope you're prepared to pay £7 odd to go in, or does the Rev get in for free as she's a Rev? Have lunch at the Refectory if you do go, lovely place and nice food all staffed by volunteers I believe, we always eat there if we're in Winchester. How about the Ruth and Naomi story for your 'Wives' thats all about relationships and loyalty isn't it? not strictly Holy Week but very moral. Hope you enjoyed your fish and chip lunch, Happy Easter to you both, Lyn xxx.0

Hi all
Well another night where I see the sun come up. I can't get to sleep. My mind keeps thinking.. Stupid stuff that in the morning makes no sense to be thinking. I have tried writing it all down , listening to music reading boring books, intresting books. Even tried a sleeping pill.. Hated that , my body felt trapped but my mind kept wiring away. I even tried a glass .. Or two! Of wine just fave me a head ache.. But the silly thing is, once I do fall asleep, I then want to stay in bed, but it know this is a bad circle to go Ito so force my self to get up at a fairly reasonable time.
My doctor has signed me off sick for another two months. She said I need this time to recover, not just from being made a widow, but for all the time I spent caring for my husband. Actually I am glad I am not at work. I burst into tears at the strangest times, and can't fathom out what the trigger are, and can't complete tasks I set myself in one sitting.
I have joined a merry widows website which has lots of great info and support, but not as populated as MSE .
Anyway enough of me..
NUtty, glad to hear the accident wasn't serious and that you weren't hurt.
Mrs L your trip sounds amazing.
Burtha, may karma kick their butts for what they did to your daughters house. And sending positive thoughts that she can find a new home soon.
I am sure there was more but my eyes feel like I have grit in them.
Hugs n more x CCtoday's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

CC it's such a big adjustment to life when you lose a partner you wouldn't be accepting it if you didn't feel the way you do now love, it's all part of the process your emotions go through and your mind and body both have been under extreme stress for so long that you need time for everything to catch up with now! Let it happen, don't fight it and gradually you'll begin to feel alive again, every day will bring a tiny bit of light and you'll feel peaceful again but, it's a very gradual process like a baby learning to take those first few tottery steps and gradually beginning to find balance and stability. Let yourself coast for a while and don't try too hard, have your memories and very soon they will be happy ones and the loss and sadness will receed and in the meantime say to us whatever you need to share, we will always be here and we will always care and listen and there will always be one or two of us hugging you close even in those stark depths of the night, always, promise, Love and hugs Lyn xxx.0
