Quiet in here isn't it? I hope everyone's out having fun in the sunshine.
Had good news on a tax issue today which makes me feel a little better.
And I've got 4 juicy steaks out to defrost for tomorrow, which was DH's birthday present from his brother, so am already looking forward to them.

're snoring remedies.....I downloaded a Kindle book called "Stop snoring: natural snoring remedies" by Helen Mayhew. The theory is that singing exercises to tighten up flabby throat muscles can have good results. If it works (I am a snorer) I will try and persuade OH to have a go - in full flow he sounds like a rutting warthog.

VJs - yes we still sleep in the same bed, the cpap is fab. He has a nose mask (2 little rubber plugs that fit in the nostrils with a strap round the head) as soon as he puts it on it detects his breathing and sends a steady stream of air to keep the airways open. It sounds like a distant mistuned radio, a white noise sound. When he stops breathing the air pressure increases and it gets louder but it's not intrusive compared to snoring. I do need to give him a poke now and then when the machine is at fever pitch and he's not breathing at all but that's maybe once/twice a night when it used to be 20/30 times a night.

Getting tested is easy, a little monitoring box to wear over night and it collects data on sleeping position and breathing. DH was stopping breathing around 80 times an hour . That's a lot of oxygen being starved from your brain.

It has changed our lives. FIL got tested shortly after DH and was stopping breathing around 20 times an hour and got a machine too, they are so effective.

MOnnagran - but at least you had a good excuse for the mess :) moving is a good excuse for huge amounts of mess and everyone understands.

Possesion glad you got your tax issue sorted

Pooky - thank you for the CPAp and snoring info, have decided to wheel OH off to the doctor for a test, his snores are awful, and while he can sleep for hours on end, he wakes up exhausted still, which I have said for ages can't be right, everything you and Sheila have said sounds like it may fit. :)

OH is working today, having booked the car in for work this morning, and we are supposed to collect the bookcase cabinet today as well, from Wales! So I had a huge race last night to get the car down to the garage, then take OH back to work and collect his van for todays job, leaving me with little car.
That meant I could deliver keys for big car to mechanic this morning and get the work done, I have now done a car swap and left little car outside garage and we will have to collect it later.
I now have the task of emptying the car entirely including removing the seats to make enough room for the cabinet, and then DS15 and I will have to go to Wales.

Whilst waiting for the car this morning, we managed to construct the new cat tree - oh my its rather tall, which I knew, I just hadnt realised how tall it would be, its perfect batting height for kitty paws as I walk past! :)

Hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday - its really bright here but blowy.

Quick catch up...tumor hasent grown :j , great news , the dr I seen was a locum, didnt know anything about me, we both read the same sentence off the computer a the same time, appointment lasted aprox one and a half minutes, he was rubbish, no help whatsoever, as hospital changed my appointment time 3 days before hand, there seamed to be no one else in the clinic, we grabbed a coffee within minutes of our appointment ending, and we seen the dr leaving 10mins later. Hopeless . If I hade given that level of care in my job I would be ashamed. So annoying. ?
anyway it hasent grown , so back in 6mth, for mri , and will go back to my dr for pain relief and refer to physio.

so need a long bath and some sleep , tomorrow will be 6 am start as hubbie doing a 42mile run , so going to be busy
